Wade Phillips defends usage of Bryant

Jerry Jones says he didn’t throw his coaching staff under the bus when he suggested Dez Bryant was overworked when the rookie receiver suffered a high ankle sprain.

“I’m not being critical,” Jones said.  “What I’m being is analytical, or trying to be analytical.”

Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips handled the situation calmly, as we’d expect.  He says it’s Jones’ right to question things. Phillips joked it only bothers him when the media questions the coach.

Jones’ criticism analysis was easy for Phillips to defend because few coaches are more mindful of not overworking players.  If anything, Phillips has been chastised for making camp too easy. He noted that he makes extra sure not to work players too hard.

“I don’t think [Dez] is overworked,” receivers coach Ray Sheman said via Calvin Watkins of ESPNDallas. “We
divide the reps up with everybody. It was just one of those freak

We completely agree with Sherman.  (Although Orlando Scandrick always seems to be around those freak things.)

The Skipper and Gilligan show goes on in dallas…..bryant hurts himself on the first day of practice and the Pimp thinks he was “overworked” and what has become known as Wacky Wade’s Camp Cupcake……dez should be thankful that Mike Shannahan isn’t the headcoach. What a stupid ass explanation, “I wasn’t being critical but analytical”…….get ready nfl fans for two huge implosions this year in dallas and new york, it is inevitable.

High ankle sprains happen on the first play or the last, so I don’t agree with “coach” Jones and his assessment of the situation.

Hey Greg Rosenthaly, you said ” We completely agree with Sherman”….just curious if you have ever coached wide receivers or been an NFL coach…why do you completely agree with Sherman?

Overworked and Dez Bryant can never be used in the same sentence.
Da Bitch wouldn’t even carry pads and what’s worse is he was too stupid to know he should !

I keep hoping, year after year, that Jerrah would get run over at the end of a play, as he stands there along the sideline with that stupid look on his face. So far, no such luck.
    But there’s always hope…

I gotta side with Foreskin Face on this one. Phillips has a lot of nerve making Jerrah’s players engage in football related activities.

STFU Jerry Jones and let your coaches coach. Wade Phillips, GROW A PAIR and tell Jerry to go fly a kite like J. Johnson did!!

The Pimp Jerrah thinks he drafted the next “Randy Moss”……I’m thinkin’ more like the next Roy Williams…..oh wait, they already have a roy williams, how about the next charles rodgers. They’re not “america’s team” but America loves it!!!! I heard Vegas was going to be posting odds on which team will implode first this year, da’ boys or the jets……my money is on the jets first.

Your always the preseason favorites. Fans and the media say the same thing every year and what happens?? Dont let that playoff win last year go to your head and make you say crazy things.

Cowboys are about to dominate this season. Just sayin’
