Colts waive Tom Santi

For one game last season, Colts tight end Tom Santi did a fair Dallas Clark impression, catching six passes for 80 yards against the Ravens.

Santi will have to hope that game tape helps him get a job after the team waived/injured him on Monday.

The Colts are deeper than ever at tight end with Jacob Tamme, Brody Eldridge, and Gijon Robinson also on the roster.

Very strange. Santi does a Dallas Clark impersonation, & he’s dumped. Curtis Painter does a JaMarcus Russell impression, & he’s still on the team.
    Go figure.

Well, which is it? Did the team waive him or injure him?

You guys are stupid, if a player is waived/injured, then there is a very high likelihood that the player will be resigned and put on IR.. when a player doesn’t have enough experience to go towards their years eligible for free agency, the player must be exposed to the waiver process before being put on IR (unless it is done during the season). After all of these seasons “covering” the NFL, you’d think you guys would know that.
