The word out of Vikings camp (still VERY early of course) is that #2 pick Cook has been amazing, and that perhaps the Vikes are not as weak as feared at CB without Griffin after all.

They’re plenty deep at CB, it’s the WR position that’s starting to bug me.
As for woulda, coulda, shouldas, we’re used to it here on Vike posts, since cheesers have perfected the art the last two years in explaining their failure to win the NFCN — or beat Lord Favre.

That’s a huge blow (sorry about the pun Viking fans, but sometimes you can use that word without describing Chilly’s special skills to get Favre back)
If the Vikings couldn’t beat the Saints with Griffen, how can they expect to cover their receivers without him. I think Vegas will wait for official confirmation before changing the line.

Looks like Sheppard will have to step in. It’s good to have a veteran like him to add some stability.

I like that Griffin has the always ready to go personality but it is the smart thing to wait until he is fully ready. Vikings are still fine at corner but right now there isn’t any depth without Griffin so guys need to stay healthy.
