When a player comes into an organization and does well in the first year of pre-season games and throwing the football with his motion that worked than why change. I think anytime you change someone's throwing motion, it has to take away accuracy and strength. Colt struggled his second year with the changes. It was not the Colt we knew. If Johnny Unitas was playing today, I wonder if Jim Zorn would change him too as well as these other so called quarterback coaches. What about Joe Thiesman? He didn't have the greatest throwing motion but he had smarts. So I say why change a person but go with their strengths and make it work for you. Develop their strengths and you will develop a winner. Too bad the Redskin fans really never got to see that side of Colt Brennan on the field. Your ex-coach really did a number on Colt.

Ahhh you named yourself properly "pigsty". You must be the type that sits there all day thinking about crap to throw at people whom you have no real knowledge. Everyone needs a second chance or a third so do you. Colt has been injured but give him time and the right organization and he may succeed.

Let me see if I have this right.
Ravens draft Beck, Skins draft Colt. Both teams have 2 seasons to develop these guys. After 2 seasons, Skins decide they like what the Ravens have done with Beck better than what they have done with Colt.
So they trade for Beck and cut Colt loose.
So.........you mean even when it comes to their back up QB the Skins can't seem to develop their own talent and end up trading/signing a guy from another team?

Pigsty, just a few questions. How do you know the judge? Additionally, Colt did apologize for what he did.
You also seem to know a lot about the Hawaii campus. Did you follow Colt from Colorado to Hawaii?
Oh, and, how would you find character flaws beneath stats and how is a "cuddle-me" smile above the stats?
There's also no proof to the old rumor about Jones and Lily Kahumoku.
All have sinned, all need atonement.

Nah. Brennan isn't a bum -- not with a state (Hawaii) full of wannabees still clinging to memories of the almost-perfect season (2007) and thus, still willing to adopt Brennan into their homes.
Otherwise, Brennan is just your average unrepentant convicted-though- unpunished finger-rapist who had his verdict (guilty) vacated because the (female) judge was a (Colorado) Buff fan who found Brennan beyond cute, declaring how rape without semen is no rape at all, i.e., just another she-said he-said.
So Brennan took his act to Hawaii where he became a (g)od under a coed-molesting coach (June Jones) who shared a similar regard for campus females, treating the (women's) volleyball team like a personal harem and the sisters of star players (Timmy Chang) like backseat blowup dolls.
Yet, idyllic, isolated, & indifferent to sleaze, most in the islands pledged allegiance to this Predator Pair long before family, state or country such is the state of lockstep jockism in The Jockdom of Hawaii.
Perps like Brennan will always find suc.. err-- teams willing to give his almost Heisman spread-numbers a look.
It's the 2nd, 3rd, 4th looks that usually reveal the sick, weak self-absorbed little puppy hiding beneath the cuddle-me smile.
The same sick little puppy caught by cameras kneeling on the sidelines bawling in self-pity during the waning moments of Hawaii's Sugar Bowl comeuppance v. Georgia while his replacement led pseudo-Warrior teammates to their one & only TD.

I kid. I kid Colt Brennan. Honestly, I'd like to see him get a shot somewhere. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise for the young man.

@brasho
Funny, I will admit there were plenty of fans in the "Cult of Colt" league, but to be honest, I didn't find many of them to be extreme Redskin fans or, in some cases, very knowledgeable Skins fans. Many, many Skins fans were also opposed to Colt ever seeing the light of day in a meaningful game because we thought he would never amount to anything productive. I guess Shanny saw similar things.

Nah. Brennan isn't a bum -- not with a state (Hawaii) full of wannabees still clinging to memories of the almost-perfect season (2007) and thus, still willing to adopt Brennan into their homes.
Otherwise, Brennan is just your average unrepentant <b>convicted-though-unpunished finger-rapist</b> who had his verdict (guilty) vacated because the (female) judge was a (Colorado) Buff fan who found Brennan beyond cute, declaring how rape without semen is no rape at all, i.e., just another she-said he-said.
So Brennan took his act to Hawaii where he became a (g)od under a <b>coed-molesting coach (June Jones)</b> who shared a similar regard for campus females, treating the (women's) volleyball team like a personal harem and the sisters of star players (Timmy Chang) like backseat blowup dolls.

Hopefully we can move on from the Cult of Colt. He had one good performance in his first pre-season game two years ago and that's it. The rest of his performances ranged from poor to comically bad.
He would have been cut last year, after a dire pre-season, if he hadn't ended up on IR before the final cut down. Yet there were still numbnuts suggesting he should start midway through the season.

Why is it a foregone conclusion that Grossman will be gone and not 3rd String if he loses out in the competition? They still have 2nd year Richard Bartell that could be cut or Practice squadded ;)

The Vikings would do well to get Brennan or Grossman (yes, Grossman). Favre has this year and the odds of him being there next year are very low. T-Jack is not the answer and Sage will never be more than 3rd string. Grossman has the skills...nobody can look good running for their life behind that horrible Bears O-line (look at Cutler).
