When a player comes into an organization and does well in the first year of pre-season games and throwing the football with his motion that worked than why change. I think anytime you change someone’s throwing motion, it has to take away accuracy and strength. Colt struggled his second year with the changes. It was not the Colt we knew. If Johnny Unitas was playing today, I wonder if Jim Zorn would change him too as well as these other so called quarterback coaches. What about Joe Thiesman? He didn’t have the greatest throwing motion but he had smarts. So I say why change a person but go with their strengths and make it work for you. Develop their strengths and you will develop a winner. Too bad the Redskin fans really never got to see that side of Colt Brennan on the field. Your ex-coach really did a number on Colt.

Ahhh you named yourself properly “pigsty”. You must be the type that sits there all day thinking about crap to throw at people whom you have no real knowledge. Yes you sit in your crap all day with nothing better to do and nothing to contribute. Listening to rumors and more crap until it’s coming out of your pigsty ears. Everyone needs a second chance or a third so do you. Colt has been injured but give him time and the right organization and he may succeed.

Let me see if I have this right.
Ravens draft Beck, Skins draft Colt. Both teams have 2 seasons to develop these guys. After 2 seasons, Skins decide they like what the Ravens have done with Beck better than what they have done with Colt.
So they trade for Beck and cut Colt loose.
So………you mean even when it comes to their back up QB the Skins can’t seem to develop their own talent and end up trading/signing a guy from another team?

Pigsty, just a few questions. How do you know the judge? Additionally, Colt did apologize for what he did.
You also seem to know a lot about the Hawaii campus. Did you follow Colt from Colorado to Hawaii?
Oh, and, how would you find character flaws beneath stats and how is a “cuddle-me” smile above the stats?
There’s also no proof to the old rumor about Jones and Lily Kahumoku.

i always thought this guy was pretty good, i think he would be a great fit for buffalo and can compete with there three scrubs for the starting job, he can goto st.louis and see if he can work himself into there depth chart and rams could get rid of that keith null toolbag, how bout the jets get rid of kellen clemens and bring in colt to be the third stringer behind crutches and sanchez

Colt Brennan only played well against 3 and 4th stringers in 08 he struggled against 1 and 2nd stringers last preseason before he got hurt. He should play in the AFL he would be a superstar there.

Richard Bartel was good in the preseason for the Browns last year, but got released in favor of Brett Ratliff, Mangini’s draft pick. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him push Grossman or Beck out of a job.

Funny, I will admit there were plenty of fans in the “Cult of Colt” league, but to be honest, I didn’t find many of them to be extreme Redskin fans or, in some cases, very knowledgeable Skins fans. Many, many Skins fans were also opposed to Colt ever seeing the light of day in a meaningful game because we thought he would never amount to anything productive. I guess Shanny saw similar things.

Hopefully we can move on from the Cult of Colt. He had one good performance in his first pre-season game two years ago and that’s it. The rest of his performances ranged from poor to comically bad.
He would have been cut last year, after a dire pre-season, if he hadn’t ended up on IR before the final cut down. Yet there were still numbnuts suggesting he should start midway through the season.

The Vikings would do well to get Brennan or Grossman (yes, Grossman). Favre has this year and the odds of him being there next year are very low. T-Jack is not the answer and Sage will never be more than 3rd string. Grossman has the skills…nobody can look good running for their life behind that horrible Bears O-line (look at Cutler).
