Dolphins rookie linebacker fears he has torn ACL

Miami’s youth movement at linebacker may have taken an early body blow.

Jeff Darlington of the Miami Herald writes that rookie fourth-round pick A.J. Edds fears he suffered a torn ACL at practice.

While he wasn’t a high draft pick, Edds was a key part to the Miami formula at linebacker this year. The team said he was going to play on passing downs immediatley at inside linebacker where he could use his coverage skills and speed.

We are waiting to hear confirmation from the team.

UPDATE: And the team has confirmed it. Edds will miss the season with a torn ACL.
