Well stated. The Eagles have covered themselves in disgrace for the way they have handled this situation.
Vick certainly knows who the shooter was, and though it isn’t a violation of the law to not talk to the police, it is certainly not reflective of someone who is so desperately trying to prove how much he has grown up and turned his life around.

Then why didn’t any of those 8-12 teams (and please, name them if you can) want any part of Vick when they could have had him for a late round pick before the draft?
I love how Eagles fans defend Vick when he did everything he could to get out of Philly in the offseason, including going on the radio in Charlotte and saying how much he would love to play for the Panthers.
Guy hasn’t played on a regular basis in 4 years. In 2006, his last full season, he finished 20th out of 32. Here are some of the hall of fame QB’s who had better years statistically:
Damon Huard
J.P. Losman
Marc Bulger
Jon Kitna
David Carr
Didn’t you see him get run down from behind, chased out of bounds before he could turn the corner, and get tackled by the first guy that hit him last year? I have news for you dude, people don’t get faster when they get older.
If he gets on the field for anything other than the wildcat this year, the Eagles season is lost.

I love how people hate on a player who was by far one of the most exciting players in the NFL.
How was Atlanta doin when he started? playoff contender battled deep into the NFC playoffs..
No team could handle his speed.

Goodell and Lurie have lost all credibility regarding their “zero tolerance” proclamation when Vick was reinstated/signed. The below says it all.
From a Philly.com reporter on 7/27/10:
No one thinks Vick pulled the trigger – not the Virginia Beach police or the prosecutor, not the NFL or the Eagles. But it’s clear Vick made a dreadful decision in Virginia Beach. He acknowledged that on Monday and told reporters he’s “on thin ice.” Wasn’t he on thin ice before? Considering how things heated up after his 30th birthday celebration, that ice surely must have melted by now.
Vick said he doesn’t know who allegedly shot Quanis Phillips – a former member of his dogfighting cabal – but revealed he learned of the attack “15 or 20 minutes” after it happened. News travels fast. When asked who told him about the shooting, Vick said: “It doesn’t matter.” It does matter, of course, if that person is a witness. I asked Vick if the person who told him Phillips had been shot saw the crime go down. Either Vick didn’t hear me or he didn’t want to address it because he didn’t answer.
So, bottom line: Vick knows who the shooter was (and likely a member of his extended “posse”), but isn’t cooperating. Is this what Goodell and Lurie had in mind for expected behavior of a member of the NFL and the Eagles ? Disgraceful.

None of you understand how effective Mike Vick is gonna be, nor to you understantd how intregal a part of the offense he will be week in and week out. He WAS overrated. Now he’s got the best coaching possible for a QB, no pressure to be a starter, and all the motivation in the world to make plays with the 5-12 snaps-per-game he gets. Keep hatin’ on his decisions in former life, because they were ridiculously stupid. But if you’re hating on his ability, check yourself. Ask andy reid about it; he knows things about football.
