Jeremy Shockey misses second practice with sore knee

The Saints returned most of the starters who helped the franchise win its first Super Bowl.  But one of those starters has gotten off to a rough start in 2010.

Tight end Jeremy Shockey has missed the team’s last two practices with a sore knee.

Per Jeff Duncan of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, tests have revealed no structural damage.  “We’re just backing off his snaps a little,” coach Sean Payton said.

Shockey addressed the situation on his Twitter page:  “All is good!!” Shockey said, pointing out that he “just hit knees with [a] teammate.”

It’s unknown whether Shockey has received treatment for the injury from his personal physician, Jack Daniels, M.D.

    It’s not even noon yet…

  2. Please, Shockey contributed to the Saints winning the Superbowl about as much as he did the Giants.

Drs. Jose Cuervo and Ron Bacardi could also probably be of assistance. I’ve visited them all in the past, and they’re extremely capable.
