Derrick Gunn of CSNPhilly.com reports that Eagles receiver Jeremy Maclin suffered only a bone bruise after hyperextending his knee in practice on Tuesday. Maclin has no ligament damage.
It’s unknown when Maclin will return to practice. But he’ll be back a lot quicker than he would have returned if he’d torn an ACL.

Well, good thing is Eagles have a lot of talent at WR. Riley Cooper and Mike Vick are hooking up and looking like Rice and Montana up there from what I hear. Avant is no slouch either.
I had a contusion on my femur when I tore my ACL: a bone bruise can easily last a month… it’s not in the same arena as a superficial bruise.
Obviously it’s better news for Eagles fans – but IIRC this is Maclin’s 2nd HyperExtension and even though I’ve heard orthopaedic surgeons debate the legitimacy of people having “loose joints” (which I’m 100% convinced there ARE) it’s not a good pattern for Maclin, long-term.
Tone it down a little fellas. Lets get everybody through camp. The NFC East will be tough enough with everybody healthy.
Due for a breakout year along with Jason Avant. Kolb will most likely be throwing 35 times a game and i can see a 4,000 yard year for him as well
