Okay, once again… are you sure you’re not ADD?
Favre and the Vikings won 12 games, beat the crap out of the Packers Twice and won the division. Favre and the Vikings next destroyed the Dallas Cowboys in the playoffs (something the Packers have never done). Favre and the Vikings then played the New Orleans Saints to a tie before losing in overtime in the NFC Championship game.
Far from being a “complete failure” Favre had an amazing season – by anyones definition – for which the Vikings and their fans are grateful.
It was the Rodgers experiment I believe that came pretty close to being a disaster, starting with the humiliating loss to the Favre on Monday Night Football, the humiliating loss to winless Tampa Bay, another humiliating loss to Favre at Lambeau, finishing 2nd in the Division for the 2nd time in his (2 year) career, and a final humiliating loss to the Arizona Cardinals in a Wild Card game.

While I agree with you in principle I’m am not so sure that Manning will break many of Favre records. Peyton is going to have to play for at least 5 more years at a very high level to get the yd mark and td mark.
Manning isn’t young and he isn’t free of health worries. He’s got a bad knee that could end his career at any time. He had a staff infection in his knee and had a bunch of stuff cut out. That thing could resurface at any moment and he’s done, plus he’s 33yrs old already and is going to have 2 new OL blocking for him this year.
