In the last few weeks, my poor mother has sat quietly through my dissertations on revenue-sharing, plans for European expansion, the new overtime rules, and speculation about how personnel moves will affect the play of our offensive line. While others send our hospitalized friend well wishes, I send notes about his team’s free agent acquisitions. That’s because the little bit of time I can take from work to come here is now consumed with bathroom graffiti and the hysterical rants of fools who project their irrational obsessions onto me. Maybe once the season starts we can get back to the more interesting FOOTBALL conversations we had before this off-season’s soap operas attracted so many flies that just want to feed off the carcass of a dead story.

It all fits — the accuser’s story falls apart, people realize Ben did nothing wrong. Morons choke on their Haterade. Ampats continues to cry about what Ben did because he’s the “father of a daughter” while telling us all to leave that poor Lawrence Taylor alone. All is right with the world.
Suspension reduced, should be erased quite frankly.

We will see how Worthlessburger conducts himself AFTER the suspension (regardless of its length) is over. Of course right now Worthlessburger is going to keep it in his pants!!!
One would wonder how he will act when this whole suspension saga is over and Goodell no longer has to monitor whether Worthlessburger is showing signs of whipping out his pee-pee again to determine the length of his suspension.
Given Worthlessburger’s history of embarrassing himself and the Steelers….fueled by excessive alcohol consumption, I would not put any money on him staying on the strait and narrow long term.
People with a history of alcohol related mis-behavior tend to REPEAT their idiotic actions until they first ADMIT they have a problem with alcohol and then get treatment for it.
Arrogant Worthlessburger has done neither. Steeler fans should expect more embarrasment from Worthlessburger….but probably not until the next off-season when the “heat” on him is less.

My mom basically worships this guy and is PISSED he got suspended. I of course have always felt it should have been up to the TEAM and not Goodell to suspend him. BUT…I feel the tam and Goodell cooperated because I don’t think the team can give more than 2 games without pay. The way I put it to her to get her to look at the bright side is this: had Goodell not suspended him, he is NOT the type of person from all public accounts who would have changed his boorish behavior on his own. So whether you think it’s fair or not, it COULD end up being the thing that keeps his career going if he takes it as a wakeup call…a PERMANENT wakeup call.

I can’t believe how much the PFT comment section has gone downhill over the past few years. The vast majority of these comments are completely useless (yea, I know mine is too…..)
Doesn’t anyone here discuss the actual sport of football anymore? Is it really that much fun to get a dig on someone who you don’t know and will never meet that causes so many people do it over and over and over again?

How can anyone expect most Steelers fans to ever understand that what Roethlisberger did to that girl was wrong? It’s impossible for them to separate their man-love for him from the jackass he really is.
Besides, many of those same fans refer to their sisters as “practice-girls” and end up marrying them, anyway.

Paying off the hush money saved the NFL some embarrassment.
There will be plenty of signs and pictures in opposing stadiums.
Week 6 is a home game so less bad publicity. Week 5 is a bye week, no publicity.
Week 4 is a home game
It doesn’t matter to anyone but the demented psycho sex deviant in Satan worshiping clothing if it is there is a reduction to 6 games, 5 games or 4 games. It is only money.
Sounds like the Satanic clothing, pentagrams and soul destroying freak stuff has not been seen in public recently.
Publicly exposing himself to females on a golf course did not help.

The offensive coordinator has nothing to do with the defense! The steelers d suffered last year without their 2 best players, polamalu, and Aaron smith! Put those 2 guys in the mix and they win at least 2 of those tight 4th quarter losses and then who knows what they would have done in the playoffs. They proved that in 2005! Also, Ben has never been charged let alone convicted of any crime, drop it already with the rapist comments!

Wasn’t there a report not to long ago that him or one of his entourage was peeing on a golf course in plain sight and were caught. So doesnt that show that he still hangs out with the wrong people. So how is that going beyond?
Goodell- “Hey i saw you pissed my name on the golf course.”
Ben- “Haha, i thought you’d like that.”
Goodell- “Nice, O and dont worry about that girl who saw you guys.
Ben- “Really what changed her mind.”
