The early days of training camp 2010 have featured more than a few injury scares, only a few of which have turned out to be serious.
On Tuesday, Giants receiver Hakeem Nicks went down with a knee injury, hyperextending the joint late in practice on Tuesday. Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger reports that Nicks is telling friends and teammates that he doesn’t believe the injury is serious.
Then again, the Giants didn’t think receiver Domenik Hixon had a serious knee injury. And then they found out that he did.
An MRI has been conducted on Nicks’ knee, and the results will be interpreted by men and/or women with the appropriate qualifications to do so on Wednesday.
All we can say to the Giants fans out there is this -- Ambien works a hell of a lot better than counting sheep.
