What’s a bigger waste of money ? 5 mil for colt over five years or 20 mil for Timmy Tolietbowl in Denver ? Or even bigger up to 80 million for slingin’ Sammy Bradford in St. Louis. Face it, this was one of the weakest qb classes in recent draft history. Mccoy might not amount to crap but at least he isnt making the bigtime bucks. Browns fan : start the clock on Luck, Mallet and Locker. Its gonna be a long year in Cleveland.

I’m sure that it’s an eye-opener for all rookies. You may be the big man on campus but this is the NFL!
McCoy will be okay. Unlike Couch, Colt has an above-average OL in front of him.
My question is, “Who do the Browns have at WR?”
With a little luck, 6-7 wins. Other than the Ravens, too many question marks in this division.

does it matter? browns are finishing last in that division without any question. All 3 teams in their division are playoff caliber and the browns have damn near nothing besides Josh Cribbs.

Delhomme has almost no control of where the ball is going to go when it leaves his hand. He’s horrible. It’s hard not to like the guy because of his attitude and effort but he simply isn’t a professional level QB since his surgery. Before the surgery he was a wild gunslinger type who made up for his flaws by being such a gamer. Now that his flaws are so much worse, no amount of hard work and good attitude is going to save him. He sucks; he’s done.

Not a Browns fan or a Texas fan, but I’ve coached football long enough and I watch enough college/NFL ball to tell you:
1.) Defense is almost always ahead of the offense in the first week or so.
2.) McCoy is gonna have a huge learning curve coming from a spread/option system.
3.) Delhomme’s going to have his own learning curve while getting acclimated to a new system.
4.) The Browns don’t exactly have the pieces of the puzzle to be a contender yet.
