We often find that NFL player arrests decline during training camp, as players simply don’t have time to get into off-field trouble.
But the Colts had a day off today, and defensive tackle John Gill was arrested for public intoxication.
WTHR reports that Gill was found by police on the side of a road in Indianapolis, passed out, barefoot and unable to stand on his own.
Police say Gill was wearing disheveled and soiled clothing when they found him in a ditch, officers could smell a strong odor of alcohol and his speech was slurred.
Colts spokesman Craig Kelley told the station, “We are aware there is an incident. We do not have details and will have no comment.”
Gill played in two games for the Colts in 2009, his first NFL season.

If the guy goes out and gets hammered on a one day break then he obviously he has a problem and should seek help…

Never heard of him, must be some guy trying to make the squad and his just hurt his chances big time.
Can’t complain too much if he wasn’t driving unless he drive far enough to realize he shouldn’t be driving, hopped out of his car and took a power nap.
Kudos to him if his designated driver bailed and he decided to sleep it off.
At least Gill passed out after getting drunk. A certain QB in Shittsburgh rapes women after getting drunk.
