Colts defensive tackle John Gill was arrested for public intoxication Sunday morning after police found him passed out in a ditch on the team’s day off from training camp.
But Gill was released from jail and charges were dropped on Sunday afternoon.
Phillip B. Wilson of the Indianapolis Star reports that the Indianapolis police typically allow people who are arrested for public intoxication to sleep it off and leave jail without charges.
The Colts have said they’re aware of the incident but declined further comment.
