Correll Buckhalter to see specialist for back injury

When Knowshon Moreno and Correll Buckhalter both left Denver’s first practice of training camp with injuries, Buckhalter’s back strain was supposed to be minor.

Nine days have passed, and Buckhalter still isn’t back on the field.  The Denver Post reports the 31-year-old plans to visit a specialist this week examine his back and neck.  That’s never good.

Knowshon Moreno is expected to miss most, if not all, of the preseason after a hamstring injury.  LenDale White is already missing practice, and he’s suspended for the first four games.

The situation isn’t dire just yet — it’s August 9 — but perhaps Brian Westbrook should be expecting a phone call soon.

Going from one injury prone ex-Eagle to another. Denver Super Bowl in 2010.

Here we go again. More Westy ponderings. I bet we’re just feeling a little silly for trading away Arrington. We’ll see.

I’m sure all the Eagles’ fans are shocked by the news that Correll is hurt.

Oh my God! Really? Peyton Hillis? Seriously? Come freaking on! He’s third on the Browns depth chart. The BROWNS! Get over it already.

Hey all of you GHE (glass-half-empty) fans..
NO, trading Arrington do NOT make McX look silly, Arrington is TOO small to carry the rock.
Hillis, love the kid, but just ARK dumb.
    Westbrook, no thank you.
White just camp fodder (but hurt).
Expect Hall, Ball, and Baker to carry the load.
Relax GHE, there may be a diamond.
    First game, Jacksonville, Knowshon!!

Yep, pretty shocked and stunned over here.
You gotta feel bad for the guy. He’s always had plenty of talent and potential, just could never stay healthy. Hope the news from the specialist is good.

Hey GHE fans there is no diamond for you week 1 in jacksonville. If Knowshon plays he’ll wish he didn’t. Your glass is empty. Denver will be man handled early and often.

    Well said my friend.
Like a lot of other fans, I too loved Hillis when Shanny was still in town, but he obviously didn’t fit in to McD’s system/scheme. Therefore, he’s expendable. HE WASN”T GOING TO PLAY ANYWAY.

All good what Vegas said, but you gotta admit, probly would’ve been able to squeeze him in now.

Buck doesn’t have a ton of miles on him but he’s getting up there in years.

They should have hung on to Hillis and Torain and Arrington.
