Nate Lawrie may have played in the UFL, but has played 25 games in the NFL, started several, from 2004 to 2008.
He played 2 years for the Bengals, 2 for the Bucs and 1 for the Saints.
Don’t you people do any research?

This is an example of Andy Reid looking out for players on his roster: Rucker wasn’t going to make the Eagles unless Celek, Ingram, or Harbor were injured, so he lets him go early, so he can sign with another team.
Reid does look out for guys on his roster (e.g., trading Joe Mays when it became clear that he had no future in Philly). It may be because Reid is a good guy, but it may be a calculated move to help convince long-shot players & undrafted free agents to sign with the Birds.
I just hope Rucker does not end up with the Cowpokes.

They do like Rucker but strong play from rookie Clay Harbor and the resurgence of second year tight end Cornelious Ingram from knee surgery and Ruckers own injury forced him to the bottom of an already talented and packed depth chart at tight end.
The Eagles knew he wasnt going to beat out Celek Harbor or Ingram so instead of keeping him around just to cut him later they did the right thing by him and released him now so he could have a shot at catching on with another team.

Rucker looked like a beast during the Browns first season game in 2008 prior to being injured. He had the misfortune of being drafted by the prior regime. Although he was brought i to Philly by current Browns GM Tom Heckert, I don’t expect a reunion, as the Browns are pretty set at tight end.
