NFC South training camp one-liners

The Falcons and Jaguars will have four joint practices on Monday and Tuesday and history says that tempers may flare during the sessions.

Rookie LB Sean Weatherspoon will battle Stephen Nicholas and Mike Peterson for a starting linebacker spot with the Falcons.

Falcons WR Harry Douglas said that it has been good to test his injured knee in practice and find that it is holding up well.

Falcons DE Jamaal Anderson, whose father is deaf, hosted players from the Alabama School for the Deaf at training camp Saturday.

Panthers CB Captain Munnerlyn continues to defy doubters who think he is too small for the NFL.

Saturday night’s scrimmage found the Panthers defense well ahead of the offense.

If FB Rashawn Jackson makes the Panthers, his first regular season game will bring him back home to New Jersey.

Panthers LB Dan Connor says that he’s feeling more comfortable as a middle linebacker.

DL Anthony Hargrove has made the Saints look smart for giving him a second chance.

The Saints won’t practice on Monday because they’ll be at the White House

RB Lynell Hamilton is making a strong push for increased playing time in the Saints backfield this season.

There hasn’t been much drama at Saints camp this summer.

Veteran G Keydrick Vincent is making a run at Jeremy Zuttah’s starting spot on the Buccaneers line.

The Buccaneers have been spending a lot of time preparing for 3-4 defenses during training camp.

Said Buccaneers LB Barrett Ruud of having Sunday off from practice, “The bad part of camp is not the practicing. It’s just doing the same
thing over and over again. It’s like Groundhog Day. That’s what’s bad
about it. Everybody just wants to sit on the couch all day and not have
to be anywhere for a change.”

DT Dre Moore is making an impression on Buccaneers coach Raheem Morris with his spirited play this summer.

Saints won’t see Obama at the White House – he’s in Texas today.

Is this how things are going to unfold this year?:
We all know the Saints Offense will get clicking because they’ve been tops in the NFL 3 out of the last 4 years. But my goodness, how good will they be if the “D” becomes a dominating type of Defense?

    Falcons will win this division.
