Texans get good news regarding Mario Williams

The second opinion on Mario Williams’ hip came back the same as the Texans’ first opinion.

“Great news on Mario,” coach Gary Kubiak said Monday morning. “He went up there for a second opinion, and all of the reports
were good, and we expect him to get back here and get back on the field
here shortly.”

Williams went to a sports hernia specialist, as there was some concern after Williams’ hip pain moved into his groin area.  Tests came up negative for a sports hernia, and Williams should re-join the Texans shortly.

Aaron Schobel may have just lost a few dollars.

    Mario is overated. He might gets one sack in the first quarter or maybe the second quarter and then gonzo for the second half. Maybe Mario needs to get some of that pregnant women drug from Cushing to get the special RAGE for the game.

    “Tests came back positive for a sports hernia”.
    That may be better than hip problems, but “Great news on Maro”?

    “Tests came up positive for a sports hernia…” No, the test results were negative. SuperMario does not have a sports hernia and can rejoin the team immediately.

    Yes, for people who believe that sacks are the tell all for Defensive Ends, Mario is overrated.

    @ChillyP
    I think he’s put up good numbers for his status. Keep in mind, he’s got NOTHING around him on the line to get pressure. Only Ryans and Cushing are doing anything. Okoye is still coming into age in the NFL, he’ll eventually pick it up…let’s hope.
    Mario FTW.
    I would say what you’re saying about Manny Lawson however, the other workout wonder from NC State.

    So why is trusting positive for a sports hernia ‘good news’?
