Bills may lose rookie receiver Easley indefinitely

The wide open race for receiver snaps in Buffalo just lost a combatant.

Rookie fourth-round pick Marcus Easley will be out indefinitely after an undisclosed injury. Coach Chan Gailey wouldn’t rule out the injury being season-ending.

2008 seventh-round pick Steve Johnson is currently the team’s No. 2 receiver, but Easley was pushing for playing time before falling awkwardly on his knee a week ago. James Hardy and Chad Jackson look like the second team receivers.

The Bills desperately need someone to step up at wideout to help out Lee Evans, but it doesn’t look like Easley will be the guy.
