Non-expert sarcastic about overtrained athlete syndrome

Earlier today, Rosenthal posted an item regarding an expert who is skeptical about the legitimacy of so-called overtained athlete syndrome, the excuse du jour offered up by Texans linebacker Brian Cushing for his positive test of hCG.

A certain non-expert who writes for the website owned by one of the Texans’ top rival has offered up similar, but more sarcastic, skepticism.

Asked for his opinion regarding overtrained athlete syndrome, Vic Ketchman of Jaguars.com had this to say: “OAS is increasingly becoming a problem in sports, especially as it pertains to the all-time home run list. Barry Bonds had OAS, too. Look what it did to his head.”

The Texans play the Jaguars on November 14 and January 2. Hopefully, Ketchman will interview Cushing at one or both of those games.
