SportingNews.com: 10 players under high pressure

We like lists of 10.  It’s a nice round number.  And it resonates.  The 10 Commandments.  The 10 months of the year.  The 10 days of Christmas.

OK, maybe 12 resonates a little more than 10.  But 10 is two shorter than 12.

So when listing players under plenty of pressure for SportingNews.com, we stopped at 10.

10 is also an easy number to do math with. Instead we continue to push for measurements that require more complex math skills rather than joining the rest of the world in using measurements based off of the simple figure 10.
Meters, liters, grams are all much easier to work with than miles, yards, gallons. But hey, we would never succumb to doing something easier(actually anything at all besides ripping off British TV programs) if it means that we would be following other countries rather than exerting our American independence.

I think we should mandate the use of furlongs as the standard of measure.

Admit it, Florio, you just ran out of fingers and thumbs to count on at that point.

Florio, if you talk about the Saints “extended victory lap” again, I don’t know what I’ll do. I know your butt buddies with Paul Allen and thus a Vikings homer, but enough is enough.

Statistically Tom Brady had one of his best years even coming right off knee surgery – but the team was certainly inconsistent especially in aspects of the defense – and no one would question that Brady fell short on big plays at pivotal moments that he’s come through on in the past.
It’s kindof tough to blame Brady for the defensive lapses but as the QB he gets the credit when things go well, and therefore the blame when they don’t.
