Kraft indicates Wes Welker won't play Thursday

The Foxborough faithful will have to wait a little longer to see Wes Welker in game action.

Patriots owner Robert Kraft told reporters on Thursday evening, “Don’t be disappointed” if Welker didn’t play Thursday and that Welker will return when “the time is right.”

Welker believes he’s fully recovered, but the Patriots will play it safe with him for at least another week.  The Patriots have traditionally been even more cautious than most teams in avoiding using injury risks in the preseason.
