Tom Brady has apparent finger injury

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady looked good in the preseason opener, but he may have suffered an injury along the way.

As we noted in today’s one-liners, the Boston Herald reports that Brady spent the second half of Thursday night’s game with his right hand wrapped in a towel, and today had athletic tape holding his index finger and middle finger together.

Brady, who
played through a broken finger late last season, may have been injured when his hand hit the helmet of Saints linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar on a pass to Randy Moss.

There’s no word on the severity of his finger injury this time around, but he completed all three of the passes he threw after the apparent injury.

  1. steelers rule – are you kidding? They don’t do that for Patriots players, they do it for Manning or BRETTFAVRE.
Brady injured his finger so he gave the Saints the finger. It’s Bledsoe versus Miami, Buffalo, and Pittsburgh in1998 all over again.

  2. Mike Daly – Yes they do in fact “do that”. lets all go back and remember the explanation of the “tuck rule”. A rule so obscure that it was never called, even when it was in teh books for years…….FIXED

PFT Nation welcomes the latest to show he has NO football knowledge….NEWSFLASH jediwrstlr, the Tuck Rule was called earlier that season to the Patriots’ detriment. While you were busy playing with your Star Wars dolls, the adults were paying attention to the games.

  4. non-story. He’ll play when he has to, and play very, very well. (Did I really read somebody crying about the “Tuck Rule”?) Some people….. G.A.F.L.

  5. I wonder how much the drama queen will drag this one out.
I’m sure a few manicures will make his nails as good as new.

  6. Drama queen? He played with a busted finger and ribs, last year. How much drama did we get out of that? You guys like to make stuff up.

Tell you what, we Patriots fans will admit that was a fumble when you faders fans admit it wasn’t roughing the passer. And while we are at it, the only thing to make things even would be to have one of the Patriots take out one of the best Raider recievers for the rest of his life with a cheap shot in a meaningless preseason game.
    Dumb ass Raiders fan….
