Rough week: Cardinals safety Aaron Rouse cut after car accident

Cardinals safeties Aaron Rouse and Reshad Johnson were involved in a car accident on the way back to training camp in Flagstaff, Arizona on Monday.  Johnson was fine, but Rouse suffered whiplash, and missed practice in a neck brace the next day.

By Wednesday, Rouse was also suffering from a bruised ego.  The Cardinals kicked the former Packers safety to the curb, releasing Rouse so they could sign wideout Mike Jones.

The team’s website rightly points out Rouse may have been cut so soon even without the injury — he was only signed on August 3rd — but the quick dismissal is another reminder how cruel life can be at the bottom of an NFL roster.

  1. He could probably make the Packers roster again. They are looking to allow less than 51 points in most games this year.

Being a former Packer you would think that he would be used to being rear ended.
Haaahahaha!! But really tho… He can’t sleep in his car now. Hope he save some of his 2weeks pay

Iowa? LOL, really? What do you do in Iowa, other than bang your cousins and breed a bunch of hicks with ice cream stains on their shirts in the trailer park? The Vikings are looking to lose another NFC title game, after Brittany throws another pick with a minute to go. Go bale some more hay and go make out with your sister, you stupid purple panties loser, LOL.

  4. If you’re on the bottom of an NFL roster you’re still pretty good. You just aren’t trying or cheating hard enough to clear that last bump. That’s on you, NFL bubble guy.

  5. yeah i’d like to see you smartasses last a day in an NFL training camp without leaving in an ambulance.

  6. This kind of sh*t happens everyday to people but, no one cares. That is why they have that Hillbilly music in bars.
Welcome to the real world, Aaron.

Id like to know what you’re currently on, so I could somehow figure out what exactly you’re talking about. Not exactly sure what being able to “survive” training camp has to do with someone getting cut to make room on the roster.
