Last year, Mike Vick’s return to reality included a reality show on BET. Dubbed The Michael Vick Project, cameras provided a look into Vick’s life.
Supposedly, in one episode Vick was sweating like Bob Holtzmann while proposing marriage to his girlfriend. (Maybe he was having flashbacks to the first time “Bubba” asked to play husband and wife at Leavenworth.)
Though the show was expected to return for a second season, Jordan Raanan of CSNPhilly.com reports that the program is now defunct.
“I put a stop to that,” Vick said. “They asked me to do it. I don’t have that lifestyle.”
He should have added, “Anymore.”
The fact that Vick’s lifestyle nearly resulted in a probation violation, a league-imposed suspension, and/or a termination from his current job likely had something to do with his decision to turn off the cameras. We can only wonder whether any footage shot on the night Quanis Phillips was shot survived the ensuing investigation.
So what you’re telling me is that the guy doesn’t want cameras following him around? Hmmm…wonder why.
“The fact that Vick’s lifestyle nearly resulted in a probation violation, a league-imposed suspension, and/or a termination from his current job likely had something to do with his decision to turn off the cameras. ”
Is that a “fact?” Did any of that, in fact, happen and/or even “almost” happen?
Florio- You don’t always cross the line between worthwhile and bogus, but you do generally do it with Mike Vick. Your 1st amendment right, sure, but it makes you look ignorant “and/or” biased- neither of which are becoming of a professional in your position.
Florio- guess what? you can make all the funny (not really) lil’ comments you want about Vick, but he’s the LAST QB Philly was going to let out of that building.
Kolb being named the starter is just a front, Mike will be running the show by week 4.
(Maybe he was having flashbacks to the first time “Bubba” asked to play husband and wife at Leavenworth.)
coming from some dweeb that would for sure be somebodies bitch in any jail in america…
It would have been fun watching Mike and brother Marcus getting into Hood Rat Things”..
Mike Vick would have been “Bubba” in that kind of scenario.
Florio, you have used this piece as a chance to take all the personal shots at Vick that you could. And while I am not a supporter of Vick I am even less of a supporter of TMZ style reporters talking trash to someone who would smash them.
i must say some of the thing’s you all put on here are stupid did vick really go to jail over the pit bulls are was it because he was one of the top dollar player’s at that time and he’s a black man? after looking at Dr. Phill and seeing a guy only do 6 months in jail after he said he’s killed a lil over 100 pit bulls that’s got to raise some eye’s. any smart coach would keep vick as the started when’s the last time he played poor? my point. florio if you want a good story talk about how the world turned there back on vick and how there is other NFL players killing people behind the wheel drunk but no that would be simple right

The Goat is back!
Seriously, are you smoking crack?
Vick sucks as a QB, no matter what your Mandingo dreams may tell you…
Florio, used to enjoy your blurbs, however the more of the sh*t I read, you’re starting to sound like an arrogant, racist asshole…really “bubba”? not that funny and frankly being a lawyer, you don’t exhibit much class. I hope one day your car breaks down in the hood and your cell phone battery is dead…
He’s probably worried they might catch him watching dogfights on the internet.
eaglesnoles, Florio doesn’t have to do that because (1) he’s the TMZ of pro football and (2) he’s made the big time and fact checking is for little people.
So, to recap….
Vick is doing something positive and PFT and Florio find a way to put a negative spin on it…
“I put a stop to that,” Vick said. “They asked me to do it. I don’t have that lifestyle.”
*******
“But stay tuned,” Vick added, “for my forthcoming documentary that should air early next year titled No Dog in That Fight.”
Hey Florio – my pit bull sez eff you.
What’s with the Bubba joke? Aren’t you the same Mike Florio who gets his panties in a wad over “homophobic humor” whenever somebody else makes a similar crack? Shocked, shocked I am…
The Michael Vick reality show would have been a smash number one hit! Just think of all the fun we could have enjoyed watching Michael:
1) kick puppies
2) purchase pot smuggling bottles
3) engage in gun play
4) play Madden 2010 through the night
5) study the eagles playbook
I hope he changes his mind.
Can we pull the plug on him…the dog killing POS
Such the hard-on for Vick!
@Joe, you hit it directly on the head!
Florio, you drive me away from this site more than you do towards it. There was a time when I professed by PFT, but not anymore. Your poor attempts at humor has become downright ignorant.
Was Tony Dungy going to be the producer?
Oh, and coach steve learn some english would you?
Doubt Vick was the one that pulled the plug. All 19 of his viewers must be disappointed.
Nice Leavenworth crack, been soft on Vicky lately.

Vick did 0 time for killing dogs idiot.
Nobody wants to see him in the hood and all the low class crap that goes on there. You can’t take the hood out of most of these guys, money only makes them look that much more stupid than they are.

Agreed.
Weak and speculative.
Basically, a way to substantiate this site’s consistently weak and speculative writing about Mike Vick.

Mike Vick defenders pointing out others looking ignorant & biased…ROTFL – talk about the definition of irony – really very very funny
I think these comments are hilarious. So many people love Vick. The guy was/is a bad person. years and years of constant behavior are not changed overnight. Good luck Vick lovers.
Besides, Goodell probably “forced” him to stop doing the show.
Would you really do ANYTHING to jeopardize your probation status, or your millions of dollars?
He is just doing what he is told.
Ha, ha…
Florio, your attempts at humor are pretty F’n lame. And to EVERYBODY who makes it sound like everyone gets raped in prison, you guys watch to much t.v. Most of the people that get raped in prison are the rejects, snitches, and weak prey. Most people are clicked up into gangs and are protected by their gangs. Plus, with Vicks high status, Im sure he didnt spend a lot of time on the main line and wasnt out on the yard with most of the other prisoners. And on top of that, he was in a Federal Prison, which is a lot easier than state peniteniaries.
Way to go Florio___ Its been said that Mike went into prison a tight end and came out a wide receiver. Woff woff!
I must agree with the comment above — Vick will be starting in Philly pretty soon. By the way, he looked pretty good last week.
Poor Florio….still mad that you couldn’t make the Eagles listen to you? LOL

All 19 are right here crying when Florio says anything about their hero.
Off topic but valid point: Guys….The talent and success of an NFL QB is NOT measured by Super Bowl rings! It is a combination of ability, consistency and stats followed by rings.
A TEAM wins a super bowl. I’m a Saints fan and don’t think the 1 game that we won against the Colts propells Brees into a Hall of Fame level…rather, his consistent numbers, leadership, and decision making did that before we even beat the Colts.

Yes, because if there’s one thing Michael Vick has earned of the last 10 years….it’s the benefit of the doubt.
If I was looking for a babysitter, he’d be on the short list.
FAMUCANCER, great comment!! Florio was running a campaign to get Vick out of the league but his attempts were obviously unsuccessful. I think Florio is mad because this “thug” is pulling in 5 mil this year and he had to go to school for about 10 years to earn his money. Dont be mad at Vick because god “blessed” you with a scrawny little white boys body and no athletic talent.lol
Thank God! The last thing we need is another “reality” show contributing to the dumbing down of America. Who are the idiots that watch that crap anyway?
More like, i don’t want the cameras rolling because I DO have that lifestyle. Can’t be caught on camera poppin caps at birthday parties now can we?
Mike Vick didn’t pull the plug on his reality TV show, he electrocuted it, slammed it against the wall, punched and kicked it, then held it under water until it stopped moving.
allthat and bigbear123 thanks for your input but i don’t think i ever asked for it you reject’s it’s a big reason why your on here everyday commenting get a job. last time i checked i was one of the top coach’s in youth football here in Kansas City Missouri with great pay (oh how great let’s see i drive a 2009 benz C300 and own my $280,000 home out of Leawood Ks) and i do belive vick is not callin you for anything and Coach Dungy is still one of the top coach’s in the NFL. so people think before you type. and my point across to you all was not saying vick did nothing wrong it was saying how did someone who killed 100′s of doggs fighting them get less time then someone who was fighting them. all law’s should be the same. Now Who want’s to comment.
I love all these guys that come on here day after day and cry about Florio……………………And yet you still come back for more?
Who is the smart one again?
It would be ironic if Quanis pulled the plug on Vick.
I’m seriously LMAO at all the lowbrow o-3gle apologists! Why pick on Mike Vick! You wouldn’t say that to his face! Waaah STFU nimrods.
“last time i checked i was one of the top coach’s in youth football here in Kansas City Missouri with great pay (oh how great let’s see i drive a 2009 benz C300 and own my $280,000 home out of Leawood Ks)”
Suuuuuure.
Vick was convicted for running an illegal inter-state gambling ring. Just an FYI.
And anyone that believes Vick will be starting at QB for the Eagles without some disasterous injury to Kolb, is smoking way too much crack.
funny all the kneejerk ookie supporters calling liberal florio racist…
florio, u need to learn… they will always support their ookie… and only u can be a racist in this scenario…
so say the so-called unracists (who are actually the most racist). and their imam obama.
//////////////
vick was nailed for racketeering. his fellow racist black, prosecutor dickweed, failed to adequately prosecute ookie. he never served a day for making dogs fight or killing dogs.
saint tony dunghole, who actually isnt on trial here, was made by his then qb the forehead, and is not a good coach or any coach in the nfl at this time. he is however busy trying to change the subject from his buttheaded defense of ookie the part time dogkiller and fulltime dogkilling financier, by ragging on rex ryan for his well established pottymouth.
Are you kidding me? Is their anyone out there that would actualy watch something with Mike Vick? People complain about T.O. and his show, Ochocinco and his, do you really think the guy deserves his own show? I think letting him still play in the NFL is enough after his wrong doing.
Florio and Vick in a ten minute prison encounter? Then the studio audience gets to decide………
Who is the bitch?
Dog killer
Plain and simple and that is the only way to say it to those who support MV
He is a Scum Bag the best part of him ran down his daddys leg
Vick is a hoodrat and maybe not this week maybe not next but he will be found dead in an alley or gutter where he belongs

You are so wrong on every point you make it is sickenning.
1.) you don’t go to federal prison for killing dogs.
2.) to call someone a racist is the same as calling them the N word. you just don’t have the balls to do it so you imply they would.
3.) Habitually killing animals with the frequency you do your laundry is a much bigger threat to civilization than the chance someone gets drunk and drives. one is a LIFESTYLE while the other is a mosterous lack of rational judgement
4.) he led the league in sacks taken the last fullyear he played.
stop jock sniffing and look up the facts.
@ coach steve
Your slanted/distorted point of view is exactly what today’s youth playing football need. Good thing you didn’t have to pass a psych exam to get that job with children. SCARY man.
Florio – Pay less attention to Mike Vick.
- Your Wife
hey junk yard dawg ass you do have to pass one you. and for rhino coach if you are even a coach you would have the ball’s to state coach before your name and here’s a tip for you I am Black and i dont use the N word cause i know what it mean’s jackass it doe’s not stand for black it stand’s for people like your stupid ass and if anytime you want to check on my job go to USA football.com wait who own’s us i think the NFL crack baby’s. so trust me i make money, Vick’s makeing money what about you? no you could never make it to the next level could you?

Let’s compare their bank accounts.
Who is the degenerate ?
The only way Vick becomes the starter is if Kolb gets injured. How can Philly bench Kolb after making him the QB of the future by getting rid of #5? Not going to happen.
I’m no Vick fan but the guy is making ‘a right’ decision, he should be given some credit.
rb-www.sportsfat.com
All the gangsta wannabe Vick defenders on this site keep bringing up Vick’s “money” as a defense…goes to show why decent people can’t take a drive thru the hood without fear of being ganged up on (hoodrats NEVER fight one on one or man to man)…
Funny thing is, Vick’s technically broke, but don’t try to use logic or facts when arguing with a Vick hugger….
All these supporters of Vick who want to see him starting obviously missed last night’s miserable performance. Still want Ron Mexico behind center? Yes, he was 3 for 5 passing…but 2 of these went to the wrong team! LOL
