The Saints swapped out fullbacks on Friday, adding veteran Jason McKie and waiving Marcus Mailei, who is injured.
McKie spent seven season with the Bears, starting 11 games in 2009 and appearing in all 16. But with the fullback having no relevance in the Mike Martz offense, McKie’s time in Chicago ended.
For his career, McKie has run the ball only 29 times for 84 yards and three touchdowns. He also has caught 68 passes for 364 yards and three scores.
