Seahawks-Packers one-liners

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll discusses the team’s preseason loss to Green Bay.

Seahawks first-round pick Russell Okung may have suffered a high ankle sprain Saturday night.

Seahawks No. 2 QB Charlie Whitehurst took a step back against Green Bay after a promising exhibition opener.
Seahawks RB Justin Forsett got the start Saturday over Julius Jones, though Leon Washington looked like the best rusher in Seattle.
With AJ Hawk (ankle) and Nick Barnett (knee) nursing injuries, Rob Francois and Desmond Bishop were Green Bay’s starting inside linebackers against Seattle.
James Jones appears to have won Green Bay’s No. 3 receiver job over Jordy Nelson.
The Aaron Rodgers-Jermichael Finley connection looked nearly unstoppable on Saturday.
The Packers’ first-team offense is averaging 8.4 yards per play so far in the preseason.

the packers 1st team d hasn’t stopped anyone yet, they’ve picked up exactly where they left off against the cards. no pass rush, no db that can cover except woodson, their ilb’s can’t cover anyone over the middle. they’re okay against the run tho.

Remember last year the same thing happened and the Packers stumbled to a shaky start.
Still, it’s good to see that the Packers are going to be hard to stop.

one of the biggest disappointments for pcker fans this year has got to be how bad burnett has looked especially since with all the injuries he’ll probly have to start, and also raji continues to look really unimpressive especially for how high he was picked, just like hawk. thompson misses on way too many of his 1st round picks.

Anybody who thinks they can make definitive statements after two preseason games is just peeing on his own shoes and telling everyone its raining.

The only actual starters to start the game last night were jenkins, raji, pickett and collins but good observation, douchebag.

That was hardly the Packer 1st team defense, moron. They didn’t have a single starting linebacker in the lineup and Woodson hasn’t played all preseason. Once the season starts, then we will see the real defense that will end Bretts failure riddled career. Believe me, you can’t tell a single thing about the quality of this defense with the way their handling this preseason. They arent going to show a damn thing and thats exactly the way they should be playing it. Nobody will have a clue what’s coming at them once the season starts and that’s then they will unleash hell. Now if you will excuse me, I have to go watch Brett and Chilie pretend they like eachother.

How many did Wolf hit with his 1st rounders? By my count, 2. Holiday, 1/2 for Taylor and 1/2 for Franks… Missed on T-Buc, Simmons, Newsome, Micheals, Verba, Edwards, and my personal fovorite Reynolds. TT missed on Harrell. That is it. Hawk has been good, not blue chip top 5 good, but good. Everyone else TT drafted in the 1st round better than 1/2 where in the pro bowl.
    Idiots

“Nobody will have a clue what’s coming at them once the season starts and that’s then they will unleash hell, possibly even holding some oppenents to less than 50 points this season.”
    yeah, possibly.

i honestly don’t think it’s a coincidence that packer fans are content with 2 winning seasons/1 playoff win in 5 years and are then rewarded with 2 winning seasons/1 playoff win in 5 years. why should the people who run the packers bother spending money to get a competent g.m. or to sign free agents if green bay’s fans don’t care about the pckers record?

Hey Einstein, Barnett has missed a total of about 6 games in 7 years. I bet the same can’t be said of any of your teams Lb’s.

Pretty impressive against the Browns and the Seachickens!……In related news, the Packers first-team defense is giving up 9.8 yds per play so far in the preseason.
