Lardarius Webb passes physical, off PUP list

The Ravens’ injury-depleted secondary is starting to get healthier.

The team announced today that cornerback Lardarius Webb, who has been rehabilitating a knee injury that cut short his 2009 season, was taken off the physically unable to perform list after passing a physical.

Webb participated in individual drills on the practice field today and was backpedaling and cutting without any apparent problems. There’s no word on whether he’ll play in either of the remaining preseason games, although he has said he doesn’t want to.

A third-round draft pick out of Nicholls State, Webb started in four games as a rookie last season. If he’s completely healthy by Week One, he’ll likely be one of the Ravens’ two starting cornerbacks, alongside Fabian Washington.
