Despite contract status, Peyton Manning says "Indianapolis is my home"

In a recent interview with Tiffany Simons of NBCSports.com, which occurred as part of Peyton Manning’s lots-of-money-for-talking-about-stuff tour on behalf of DirecTV’s Sunday Ticket, Manning talked about the fact that he’s entering the final year of his contract with the Colts.

Indy fans can exhale, because it doesn’t sound like Peyton is leaving.

“Indianapolis is my home,” he said.

Actually, we thought New Orleans was his home.  Tracy Porter probably has something to do with that specific adjustment in Peyton’s thinking.

Either way, here’s the interview.

I’m not going to watch the video (at work), but from the initial still-shot, you just know Manning is thinking “Hmmm….I bet she’s curious how my grundle tastes.”

Florio continues to be a one-trick pony and a hater. Does every Peyton post have to mention Tracy Porter?

Indy is the only place where they have winter hats that fit over that massive forehead.

Peyton bought a little pink house just down the street from Mellencamp.

If theres one player in teh NFL guaranteed to get a huge deal to stay put, its Peyton Manning. Your looking at about $50 million easy. Theyre going to hand him a blank check and ask him to fill it out when he gets a chance

Eh, I’d let him loose.. he’s getting up there in age.. and he still gets happy feet from time to time..
They need a new look offense, the Patriots will dominate them this year..

“Peyton Manning’s lots-of-money-for-talking-about-stuff tour” what’s the matter Florio you jealous that he can make as much as you can in a year just for talking about a product.

Peyton and Tom are the best.

If the Skins pay Fat Albert what they paid him, what would they pay Manning?

Chiefs2010 you should be banned for life by saying they should let him leave. Dude your an idiot plain and simple you might be the dumbest person in the world and I do t care if it’s because your “special”

What’s wrong Florio, do you not like Manning raising money for his foundation and the charities he supports?
    Get a clue.

Nice camera work. It’s not easy getting Manning’s entire forehead in the frame.

    Stay classy, retire a Colt.

OK Meat edited for accuracy “Peyton Manning’s lots-of-money-for-talking-about-stuff so he can donate it to his charities which as we all know are HUGE tax write offs that he needs when he has made the money he has over his career tour on behalf of DirecTV’s Sunday Ticket”
It wasn’t even a slam or nasty…just factual. If Florio had said “he would make even more money from ads if he rented out space on his fivehead” you would have a case to complain.
