Ex-Redskins love Dan Snyder

When asked about Redskins owner Dan Snyder on NFL Network, Deion Sanders usually says he loves him and thanks him for helping to build a new wing of his home with his final NFL contract.

Jets receiver Laveranues Coles can identify.  With a matchup against the Redskins this week, Coles was asked if he had any emotions facing his former team.

“I’m very thankful to Dan Snyder for building my home down in Jacksonville,” said Coles, referring to a 25,000-square foot mansion, according to Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com. “That’s about it.”

Unlike many veterans that came to Washington, Coles actually produced in his time in Washington.  Coles was asked if Snyder is memorialized anywhere in the house.

“Maybe I’ll put up a picture of him in one of his $80,000 suits or those $50,000 boots he wears,” Coles joked.

He gave them lots of money, in many cases for very little in return.

The player actually should love the fans — who paid for all those homes and wings though their $200 tickets and $10 beers.
In some cases, it was highway robbery given what the fans got back.

where old tired NFLers go to retire in place and Danny Boy sets them up for life with the guarantee money in their last contract. Fat Albert case in point….

I love Danny Snyder too– keep shelling out too much money for wash ups. You’ll win something eventually.

Snyder / Jones / Kraft will get the last laugh when they ruin the NFL, eliminate salary cap, eliminate salary floor, eliminate revenue sharing, end competitive balance, and create another MLB.

Tons of former and current players have expressed love toward Dan. It reminds me of the way they used to talk about Al Davis.
He’s a decent dude who I hope makes the roster, he’s certainly made it clear it’s the Jets or retire for him this year.
Now only if the Jets sign his twin Shirleyus.

    @boysroll:
    Since WW II?
    Since you asked:
    3 fing SB’s bro! 1982, 1987 & 1991.
plus championships in 1937 and 1942.
Add it all up and the Redskins have 22 playoff appearances, 12 division titles, 5 conference championships and appeared in 11 (or 12 – see P.P.S.) league championship games and won 5 of them.
Dallas has also won 5 league championships but only managed to get to the championship game 8 times. Let’s see; 12 is greater than 8. Looks like you boys got some catching up to do.
P.S. Dallas has never beaten the Redskins in the post season.
P.P.S. if you count the season before they changed their name to “Redskins”, then add another championship appearance.
    LMFAO.
    Moron.

    Boysroll,
I hope you contract AIDS and die.
I guarantee that you have never even been to Dallas you fake ass DC area Cowboys fan.

Add it all up and the Redskins have 22 playoff appearances (Cowboys have 30), 12 division titles (Cowboys have 21), 5 conference championships (Cowboys have 8).
AND… they’ve been around several decades less than the Deadskins have been around. And I didn’t even mention their 59-37-2 record against the Deadskins.

  26. no one of any consequence says: Aug 26, 2010 1:53 PM

    @ .Vox Veritas:
Yep, the Redskins have been around 24 years longer than the Cowpies including the time they were in Boston.
That’s not exactly “several decades” but whatever.
The law of averages says that as the Cowpies go on into the future their “stellar” winning record will not hold up: they will slip even further into mediocrity, their record against the Redskins (and everyone else) will even out. Maybe you’ll even beat the Redskins in a playoff game someday, but as it has never happened, I wouldn’t hold your breath.
I’d also point out that in all their long years, the Redskins have never had a one win season.
So tell me: what’s that like?
The fortunes of sports organizations (with the possible exception of the NY Yankees) wax and wane over time. You boys have been living off your luck of the early 90′s for 15 years now, but you really haven’t won much since. 4 division titles and one playoff win in 14 years. That’s it. Even the Redskins have more playoff wins in the last 14 years than that. It’s going to keep getting worse, bank on it. Enjoy the mediocrity while you can, because being lousy sucks.
Maybe that why you boys are so disagreeable – you can see the handwriting on the wall and you know what’s coming.
You know what the difference between Jones and Snyder really is?
    Age and plastic surgery.

Maybe The Danny realizes that money doesn’t exist.
