Recently, USC Athletic Director Pat Haden said that Saints running back Reggie Bush told him that Bush would return the 2005 Heisman Trophy “if he could.” Today, Haden essentially told Dan Patrick that Bush should give it back.

Give it a break mike. With or without Reggies Hiesman trophy the Saints are still world champs and the girly vikes still suck. I hate USC dont really care for Pete Carroll but think reggie has kind of been a bust, but lets be real how is his agent giving him money and his parents a place to stay indicitive of him running on the field and scoring td’s?/?
sergep, I am a Saints fan and actually value his overall contributions to the Saints but in short I agree with you.

Florio… Once again… I think you’re misinterpreting Reggie’s comment, which wasn’t even a direct quote in the first place. I think Reggie meant if he could “give back” winning the award in the first place, he would. But no one can undo that, even if he gives back the physical trophy. It still happened. And I really don’t know why you care so much.

I agree that there is a lot of blame on both sides but I think it would be a good gesture for Bush to return the trophy too. It is soiled, but should not be given to anyone else. Just mark the entire year as a bust. I only feel bad about the current players at USC since they are the ones being

Fonetik. well you got it half right. We wore bags for ONE year. That’s right, ONE year, 1981. I am sure whatever fans base you are a part of did something similar. For example, Viking fans just didn’t buy tickets to the games. They had to be given away to fill the stadium. New Orleans is now the 3rd smallest market in the NFL and has no corporate support but sells out every game.
