If they are cutting him now I would think they are thinking they could get some of his bonus money back by saying he withheld injury info. If not, why not wait a week or two or put him on IR so you have him next year?

This whole situation is very unfortunate for the bengals, if healthy i think he’s the best receiver on that team.

I live in Dayton and the latest news that I have on Bryant is that he is working out but is not practicing as of yet. His knee is improving and he may be ready at the start of the season. Whether that is true or not is anyone’s guess. I would have thought if the Bengals were going to cut him they would have done it by now. Since they have not cut him perhaps is knee is getting better. It is starting to look like one of those stay tuned type of things.

I think the Vikings should offer up a 5th or 6th round pick for the guy.
Camarillo is insurance for Harvin’s migraines. Berrian is a deep threat speedster type. They don’t have a big target that can go up and get balls. Bryant is better than any other options on the team or on the market….

I dont know about you but every time i come on to this site to read the articles, I have to click on the tab that reads “Latest news and Rumors”. Pretty self explanatory and easy to figure out for even the most simple minded people.

One option that you neglect to mention is one that MDS reported a few hours ago, ehem, on PFT, that Bryant was close to returning and that he will play for the bengals this year. PFT is a great site, check it out 3G….full of sources for your future articles.

Bryant was not a good fit for the Bengals anyway. T.O. was a much better choice, I bet they wish they would of taken him over Bryant while they had a chance. People can talk all the sh-t they want about Owens, but in the end he will prevail like he always does.

Some of Florio’s stuff is more rumor than fact, but this one certainly wouldn’t be a shocker.
Bryant’s status has been up in the air for a while – it’s the main reason Owens is a Bengal now. There’s not really much new here. I wouldn’t be shocked if they cut him – yeah they’d have to eat a $7 million bonus (in an uncapped year so no big deal) but they would save themselves another $3 million right off the bat.
You do have to wonder about the Bengals medical staff though. They gave Bryant a clean bill of health before he signed his fat new contract.
