So, you would make it look like a guy, that everyone in the League knows you’re willing to trade, is about to get cut? That would accomplish what exactly? Are you under the impression that would drive his trade value up because you “played loose with the facts” and led everyone to believe you thought so little of the guy that you’re willing to cut him outright? That’s an “interesting” strategy you’ve got going there. Just sayin’.

i hope that tony richardson does not make the team…god i would love for the vikings to have that guy back. AD is still a badass but there has been a noticeable decline in his game since we lost tony.

If he has value, which is debatable in this case, then a team would be wise to make the trade rather than hope he passes through waivers and they can sign him as a FA.

Clemens sucks, nobody would have traded for him anyways. On another note, Mark Sanchez looks terrible but nobody is mentioning anything about it…..the Jets are going to look real dumb when they start the year 0-3 wondering WTF?
They may have made the most of their opportunity last year, making it to the AFC Championship game, but if the Bengals and Colts hadn’t packed it in at the end of the season, the Jets would have never made the playoffs. They have about a good enough chance getting to the Super Bowl as Rex Ryan does going a week without cookies….

It’s all about selling tickets.
Rex the Hutt’s bluster about guaranteeing a Super Bowl and putting them on Hard Knocks is all about selling PSLs – not about winning games.

Whether the Jets receive compensation for Kellen Clemens is irrelevent, I don’t see right now, the way QB battles are shaping up where there is not a locked in starter, any team being desperate enough for Kellen Clemens when there are veterans who give a better chance of winning. Barring injury in camp, the will maybe get a 6th or 7th round pick or just cut him.
Remeber, Clemens was only a 2nd round chance by Mangini (Mangenious? Try Mangina) and his college career coming out was nothing to get excited about. Trust me, I have lived through Esiason, Todd, O’Brien, Nagle, O’Donnell, and I will even say the failed Favre expieriment.
Also, try Tony Richardson, I mean the guy is in the league 15+ seasons, has given guys like Priest Holmes, Larry Johnson, Chester Taylor, Adrian Peterson, and Thomas Jones some of the best years of their collective careers; at least get his name correct.
