Harvin's migraines will be an ongoing headache for Vikings

Regardless of whether Vikings receiver Percy Harvin receives clearance to participate in the team’s third preseason game, his health likely will continue to periodically impact his availability.

Apart from the severe pain it causes for Harvin, the situation potentially can disrupt, at any given moment, the plans for a given game.

But before we write any more about the situation and what it could do to the Vikings, let’s simply paste in the code for the video that Brocato and I recorded earlier this week.

Some may call it laziness.  We prefer its glass-half-full cousin, efficiency.

how many of these posts are you going to post? This is obvious…

  2. ViqueenTears says: Aug 27, 2010 12:20 PM

So will their pathetic defensive backfield, their inept coach and injuries resulting from their looming week 1 beatdown!

  3. edgy1957 says: Aug 27, 2010 12:29 PM

I’m not kidding. Someone told me that they have used Botox for migraines. Have they considered that?

  4. Calistin says: Aug 27, 2010 12:58 PM

That headline just might get you the Pulitzer! Or some groans……
GL to Percy and his doctors, Lord Favre knows the Vikings are gonna need him!

    excedrine migraine

  6. sand0 says: Aug 27, 2010 1:10 PM

Harvin has had these migraines his whole life. This season it will affect him likely to the same degree as in years past. He still managed respectable numbers at Florida and with the Vikings though so not all hope is lost.
Get the digs in though quickly because if this team does well again it will be harder to rip on them, like last year.

  7. Love_Boat_Scandal says: Aug 27, 2010 1:25 PM

Don’t worry. Some activist, Vikings-“fan” judge in Minnesota will legalize it. Then the headaches will go away.

i dont know how goodell hasnt went to talk to harvin,, players passing out is not a good to have on the field returning ur punts and kicks,, say hes going to return a punt passes out and there playing a team like the packers,, the packers are going to think he just went down to get the ball and they would tackle the crapp outta someone who has problems

  9. PSURavens says: Aug 27, 2010 1:42 PM

Did he have these same issues in college?

  10. packrulzm says: Aug 27, 2010 1:47 PM

Even though I’m a die hard Packers fan, I sure hope he can play the entire season. Hopefully Chilly understands how debilitating a migraine can be and proceeds with caution. While I cheer for the Pack, I enjoy watching a great player. Here’s hoping for a full recovery!

He needs to lay off those rap videos and crunk juice.

I find it hilarious that the same guys complain about Florio post after Florio post and yet they keep coming back to this site and read them. Why is that anyway?

  13. don4953 says: Aug 27, 2010 2:21 PM

This has to be the most clever headline his site has ever had.

  18. Ilovefoolsball says: Aug 27, 2010 2:43 PM

the vikings are a pathetic franchise, with a pathetic starting qb, and a wimpy coach that no one respects. They should just start the process soon and start packing for Los Angeles, they might have a chance then once they get out of that $h!thole called minnesota.

  20. ViqueenTears says: Aug 27, 2010 3:02 PM

Look at all the mounting hate for the Viqueens and their delusional little fan club…ahhh yes, what goes around comes around my little queens!

Maybe medical marijuana would help – except that I think Percy’s in the program, so he can’t do it.

  24. sand0 says: Aug 27, 2010 3:31 PM

Lol I realized I’m only one of two non-packer fans to post in this thread. Sheesh you guys are pathetic. I wonder what it is like to hate a team so badly that you obsess over it.
Vikes fail it would only be the first in three seasons they didn’t win the div. Packers fall short again and trailer parks will be going up in flames all over sconni.

    ok I’ll bite.
    Mike Neal = unproven rookie
BJ Raji = 2nd year , marginal bust, yet unproven.
Kevin Williams – Pro Bowl DT, one of the best in the game.
Pat Williams – Former Pro bowler, slowing down, but still in the top 1/2 of DT’s in the league.
    End of discussion.
Calistin, you turd. That’s not how you rile fans of a different team. There has to be some substance of truth in your post.
I knew you were dumb, but comparing Pro Bowl material to shit stains like Kneel and Blow Job Raji is utterly inane.

So, Brocato says “we don’t want to play doctors” and yet your headline reads “Harvin’s migraines will be an ongoing headache for Vikings”. Will? or perhaps you should have written “May” be an ongoing headache.

Ok RC, so I agree that I wouldn’t make the comment that Calistin did…..unless or course….Neal and Raji were taking starcaps to hide the roids…then we could compare.

Yes they took starcaps to hide roids …. HaHaHaHaHa I would hate to see your pic. of a perfect woman if you think they look like roid users.. I suppose since you are from Wisconsin she would look the same as Pat Williams.

  30. Murgen says: Aug 27, 2010 9:02 PM

Percy probably can’t stand living in the land of 10000000 lards. The stress of having to deal with all the white bloated trash is probably making him get the migraines. Besides, the “medicine” ain’t so good up there.
Then he also has to deal with a douchebag quarterback who throws championship games (and legacies) away and a head coach who looks like he was let out of state prison for child molestation. Coach is personally giving him late night head and shoulder massage therapy.
Don’t worry Percy, just don’t play and when they move the team to L.A. all the “medicine” you need will be waiting for ya. I promise.

  31. BigBear123 says: Aug 28, 2010 8:59 AM

Wouldn’t rough collisions trigger migraines or cause them to come back more severely?
All the focus on concussions and everyone overlooks Harvin’s ongoing “migraines”?

  32. cusoman says: Aug 28, 2010 10:58 AM

Hahaha you guys are great! You’re doing a PERFECT impression of the people on this site on Viking stories at this same time last year. So since you seem to think everything is going to go that way again, I’m really looking forward to the season because just like last year, none of that will happen again and the team will excel to new heights.
Remember people, Harvin had this same situation last year, and the guy made ROY – you’re all delusional with hate.
