Once again, PFT missed the real story. Joel Glazer addressed Raheem Morris’ press-relations:
“Rah is my George Bush, and he’s not going to change,” Joel Glazer said. “He’s gotten better at making inane comments that don’t comply with the rules of English. He’s gotten better the last couple of days and he spoke [better] throughout training camp than he has in the past, but he is George W. Bush. Maybe a little Joe Biden, but mainly Bush.”
“It’s never acceptable, and he’s gotten better, but like I tell him every day, we’re going to tolerate Rah’s embarrassing news conferences until we finish paying Gruden, then we can replace Rah with an actual NFL coach,” Glazer said.
“He shows up at the news conferences and makes big-time blunders, especially calling out his players, and we wish he’d shut up, but we’re afraid he might chest-bump us or ask us to have lunch with him. STFU — that’s got to be his calling card,” Glazer added. “This crap about ‘that’s what has got to make him stick. That’s what’s going to make him his best self,’ what a moron. Every day we have to put a mask on to go out in public because people ask us what the hell we were thinking when we hired this buffoon. To use a Rah-type analogy, ‘he puts his foot up his butt and then into his mouth. That’s exactly who he is,’” Glazer lamented.
“Worse than that, we asked him to write the checks for our mortgage payments on some of the malls while we were on an extended trip to Man U to deal with the English crypusses, and he couldn’t even get the address correct on the envelope. He friggin’ sent the checks to Jon Gruden, and Gruden won’t return our calls,” Glazer finished.
Morris disagrees with the assessment of his effort with the media. “Number one, it’s completely overblown, completely out of the shed and in the reservation, if you ask me. Completely right, but yet not right, right?” Morris said, to which all nodded in agreement, fearing a chest-bump. “I do pretty good speaking, maybe some incomplete phrases and misquotes, when I’m speaking English. But that is who I am as a head coach, and I’ll continue to make that happen every day. Give maximal effort at telling you what you know. So, you know it, and then the players will be knowing it, too. That is how we go, when we’re going, and I’m just trying to get back in speakenness shape.”
Morris continued. “And I did send the mall checks to Gruden ’cause I saw him at the mall, so there you go. He said he was handlin’ up his business. I read the paper. He still supposed to get checks from the Glazers. That’s how it goes in the U.S. of Get Paid. Dungy got paid, Gruden got paid. I am getting paid. The players get paid. We all got checks and so that is what this team is all about. Where I come from, you admit your shortness and climb the rock every day, looking at your future and past as if they are in harmony with one another, and then you got to man up and be a player, coach, Uncle, mall check writer — the best you can be, stick it every day, and that is what I’m about. That is what this team is about. And that’s what frees up our intelligence to play and coach like we did not do last year, but learned something from what we were doing when we did not do it. We don’t owe no mall nothing except to play as hard as possible for four quarters, unless we go into overtime. Then it is four quarters and overtime. Then, we’ll all cash that mall check. And that is why the Glazers put this team under my feet. Any questions?”

White won’t change – when he said “game shape” – he didn’t mean conditioning. Stylez actually showed up in the best shape he’s every been in. He means prepped for the games through technique and film study. Raheem will call out guys in the media and sometimes I wonder if this is an inside jokes he shares with players since everyone but Sabby Piscitelli seems to love him.

Raheem Morris continues to take matters meant for the locker room publicly.
Translation: Morris is far from an elite head coach. Ever hear Noll, Shula, Madden, Landry, Lombardi, Walsh or Belichick PUBLICLY decry a player? No. Hell no. The closest any of them came to that was making calls on who sits, who starts and who gets cut or traded. Their talking was exemplified by the depth chart — not huffing and puffing to the world.
By comparison the legends noted above, Tampa has an underqualified fool who’s never done jack squat at any level pointing fingers with a bull horn on full blast. I’m sure the players must really respect a guy like that.
Really.
Tampa — in terms of football rooting factor, just really glad I aint you. Not your fault you got a heel-stomping clown at head coach – you deserve better than that.

How about, just once, Raheem, you try to not call out your players to the press. I know Morris is trying to get the most out of his players but there’s better ways to do this. Consistently, all I hear is a guy in way over his head. You keep things internal as much as you can. Now, if the guy is sucking, bench him or demote him, not by text either, but you don’t just go to the press every time you’re angry or you’re going to lose the locker room completely.
Funny though. Some of the guys he’s called out publicly are the same ones that stuck up for Morris when everybody was calling for his head last year. Pretty sad he can’t show any respect back at them.

Raheem has no idea what he is doing. Bench him, light a fire under his ass and make him perform. His message to the team is “practice doesn’t matter as long as you can play in the games” A rebuilding team like the Bucs will NOT get better that way. He is promoting stagnation and complacency. Good luck with that. This is probably Raheem’s last year as HC if he keeps this up.

WTF?! You just confirmed everything Morris said with that statement. How is it overblown when the season is only two weeks away and you’re still “trying” to get into game shape? Damn! Anyway, Bucs need to draft a DE in the first round next year. Quinn, Romeus, Bailey, Heyward, Clayborn or Kerrigan would look good in pewter & red.
