First off, I apologize for assuming you were a NO fan.
Second – Please show me where I ever said anything negative about the Packers or Aaron Rodgers. Not once. IN fact I thinkk they are a very good team and I look forward to this year as it should be a good competition.
However, if you think the Vikings had their asses handed to them in the NFCCG than I will disagree with you. No, the Vikings didn’t win the game. Yes, I have handled it and have faced the facts they lost. But by no means did they get their asses handed to them. The stats themselves say that. Look at it this way. The Vikings were the visiting team. They managed to lose the turnover margin 5-1. Yet they took the supposed “better team” into overtime. So, like I face facts it amazes me that no other fan can face the facts there were in fact bad calls made in OT that affected the outcome. But hey, that’s part of football and the Vikings put themselves in that situation. But don’t come here and put words in my mouth. I never said anything bad about the Packers or ridiculed them for losing in the playoffs. What’s funny though is you are doing the same thing you accuse the Viking fans of doing. You are making excuses. I do agree Rodgers should have got the 15 yard face mask call. But don’t criticize us for bringing these issues up when you do the same freaking thing.

I don’t need to be set free . I have faced facts so I’m not sure what you are trying to prove. I faced the facts the Vikings lost and I have posted that several times in this thread alone. So don’t try to give your condescending BS.
1) Thomas clearly lost the ball. CLEARLY! Then he recovered it behind the first down marker. Yes, behind. If you are not sure what the ball looks like it’s brown and odd shaped. You know that item in which Thomas looses controld of.
2) Even if Leber stepped on Dave Thomas’ foot the ball was not catchable. By rule PI cannot be called if the ball is uncatchable. Yes, that is a rule. Look it up.
3) This is the most debatable. Yes he did bobble the ball. Did he have control of it before it hit the ground? Many people say he didn’t (including me).
Now to clarify everything I have posted since you want to call me an idiot for not facing facts. I believe theSaints deserved to win the game. I am not blaming the game on the calls as a sole basis. Fumbles, INTs, stupid penalties all contributed. But again, if you do not think the calls (especially in OT) were bad then that is your opinion. It’s funny though because there are a lot of Saint fans out there that admit the calls were bad.
The bottom line is the Saints won the game. Good for them. I was happy for Drew Brees and the city of NO. But it is fans like you that make it difficult to celebrate that type of victory for the city. You call me an idiot for not knowing the rules yet you have proven now that YOU are the one that CLEARLY doesn’t know them. Couple that with the fact you have a hard time seeing that the football left Thomas’ control and you really look foolish. Keep trying. You make me laugh.

Second, Ben Leber never looked back. That’s true. But he also never touched the receiver. Plus the ball WAS NOT CATCHABLE. Do you know the freaking rules?
3rd, Meachum’s catch did in fact touch the ground and he was bobbling the ball. Under the rules of the NFL that is an incomplete pass.
Before you start typing BS and claim someone else doesn’t know anything about football know the rules yourself. How does it feel to make a total idiot of yourself in the matter of 2 minutes or however long it took you to type your post?
The real sad thing is I was very happy for the Saints to win the Superbowl. The city and Drew Brees deserved it. But fans like you make it difficult to celebrate anything about it. ejmat, your thread proves nothing. You see, if you knew anything about the NFL, you’d know that each week the league reviews the tape of the prior weeks games. After reviewing the tape of the NFCCG the leagues stated very clearly that NONE of the calls in OT were incorrect. No matter what talking heads on ESPN think of it.
The ball never came out of Pierre Thomas’s left hand so it goes to it’s furthest point.
Ben Leber was not looking back at the QB when he made contact with Dave Thomas so it’s pass interference.
Robert Meachem’s catch was controlled as it touched the ground meaning it is in possession.
See, these are the RULES of the game not my opinion. This what the head of officiating for the NFL said after reviewing the tape.
LEARN THE RULES before you post shit that you don’t know.

Every Viking fan is well aware of the fact they have never won the Superbowl. However, it seems to be the only thing other fans can throw at them. Other than calling peoplel names and attacking them all anyone ever does is say they’ve never won the Superbowl. Well, tell us something we don’t know.
The funny thing is we state facts about games. It is not like we make anything up. Yet, all the others do is say they are excuses for losing. Well, maybe they are. But please try and prove they are not fact. You can’t. I posted the you tube link that PROVES the Vikings were ripped off against the Saints for calls beyond their control. Again, I blame the Vikings for putting themselves in that predicament (fumbles, INTs, stupid penalties). But in no way shape or form does it take away the FACT the refs made calls that aided the Saints.
No excuses. The Saints won and deserved to. Anytime you outscore your opponent you deserve to win. However, it doesn’t mean you weren’t dominated. Which the Saints were in almost every phase of the game. Score and turnovers being the only two but they are the most important when all is said and done.
