On Sunday, the Chiefs released four players, which presumably left the roster at 76.
On Tuesday, they added Lance Long to the list.
Signed in 2009, Long appeared in seven games and started one for the Chiefs. He caught 20 passes for 178 yards.
It could be that the Chiefs waited until Tuesday to cut him in the hopes of finding a trade partner. If that was the plan, it didn’t work.

Damn. I knew Lance in high school growing up in Shelby Twp., MI. Good guy and terrific athlete.
