Asa Jet fan I would be thrilled if Sanchez would learn how to use his checkdowns. He does not checkdown near enough. He locks on his 1st or 2nd target and rarely goes through his progressions.
His problem is quite the opposite of what you suggest. He needs to checkdown quite a bit more. Especially now with LT as a viable threat out of the backfield.

Not a Jets fan, but Clemens is a better QB than he gets credit for. Had Sanchez been the starting QB with the crew Clemens had to work with, he would have already been ran out of town.
