As the Saints prepare to embark on the defense of their first-ever NFL title, they’ll reportedly be relying on a guy who knows a thing or two about repeating.
The folks at TMZ report that Derek Fisher of the L.A. Lakers will address the Saints on September 9, before they face the Vikings in the first game of the 2010 regular season. (On NBC.)
Fisher supposedly will be talking to the Saints about the challenge of winning two titles in a row.
Frankly, we think it would make even more sense to invite to the locker room a guy who once won two titles in a row not once but twice while playing football. He’s also a Louisiana native.
And, last time we checked, he was, you know, not dead.
