Not to piss on your parade, but… Derek Fisher won back-to-back-to-back titles in 2000-2002, then back-to-back titles again in 2009-2010.
And as has been mentioned several times already, he’s a hell of a lot better as an inspirational speaker than Terry Bradshaw.
The Saints aren’t looking for someone to talk to them about X’s and O’s (and if they were, Bradshaw wouldn’t be the best choice anyway). They’re looking to get fired up, and there’s plenty about Derek Fisher and his story that can do that.

Sean Payton has had guys come in to do speeches for the team since he took over in 2006. This has nothing to do with “worrying” about keeping up the intensity. This is pretty much old hat for them.

I have to say, Florio writes some really weird stuff – especially in regards to anything having to do with the Saints. He either just plain hates N.O. and loses all credibility which makes him incapable of writing objectively, or he’s really just plain weird. Then again, maybe its both.

Can’t necessarily say they’re doing the wrong thing or anything like that but it seems unusual for a team to publicly do so much worrying about their team playing hard.
Maybe they just anticipate the Vikings coming to town and playing with some hardcore intensity that they fear they can’t match, much like the NFC Champ game where the Vikes pummeled them while giving the game away on self inflicted turnovers (perhaps caused by being overly amped up actually come to think of it)
