Rock bottom for Chris Perry, too

Recently, former NFL running back Tatum Bell was bounced by the UFL’s Florida Tuskers.

Now, a former first-round tailback has been spat out the bottom of the upstart five-team league.

Per the Detroit Free Press, former Bengals running back Chris Perry, who entered the NFL in 2004, has been cut by the Sacramento Mountain Lions.

Making the team in his place was John David Washington, son of Oscar-winning actor Denzel Washington.

UPDATE:  Perry apparently could be returning.

you shouldn’t ever be allowed to talk badly about another team, ever.

Rock bottom wasn’t getting cut by a UFL team, it was being drafted by the Bengals. Everything since has been varying levels of disappointment.

    Hail 2 Dan Snyder……
Seriously? I can’t believe you’d even go there. Snyder can’t even buy a Superbowl. I see Haynesworth is really working out. Money well spent. Kudos……

Wow, getting cut by the UFL is a new low.
Oops, I better go…..gotta get up early to drill holes all day building school buses.
That was a joke, people. Just today I was thinking how awesome it would be to just put on the football uniform again. When did I play? One year in the Marine Corps. I was too small (and too weak, too slow, too lazy, etc.) in high school but for one year I got to play football (8 man). It was awesome!
These two RBs need to keep healthy because the NFL is the Next Man Up League. They may be called on down the strech.

The Bengals passed on drafting Steven Jackson to draft Perry. Mike Brown is a master drafter.

Florio your a crap ass reporter who really needs to do some more research before you clown on a player…and the rest of you are all a bunch of sheep. What you failed to realize is that Chris Perry’s mother recently passed away and actually never showed up for any of training camp because he was grieving. I hope you have some compassion for someone who really is at his lowest and take this down.

Why report the facts when you can sensationalize a story?

Whats the problem? LiL Danny Snyder might spend his money poorly, but its not like he ever tried to take advantage of a natural disaster to move his team and ultimately forcing Naw Leans to cop to his demands.

I love how u people bash the Skins. U act like the Skins have never been a great franchise or will ever be great again. If u r a Bengals fan bashing the Skins….. Don’t even compare ur franchise the them. Bengals will never win anything.

Yeah but your the tool trolling on the board of a Bengals story douche lips. Who cares how great you used to be, bottom line if they were to line up across from each other tomorrow, the deadskins would get embarrased. The last time the Forskins won anything the Lombardi was made of stainless steel.

Chris Perry was a great running back with a lot of speed, until he injured his knee his rookie year in preseason. After he rehabed and came back the next year he didn’t have it any more.
Not a bad draft pick at all. Just bad luck.

Yes, becaues YOU knew he would mess up his leg.
“The Bengals passed on drafting Steven Jackson to draft Perry. Mike Brown is a master drafter.”
Steven Jackson had a knee injury going into the draft, thats why the dude fell. Know your info because you trash talk next time.

Wow, this is how bad the Redskins have sucked, the last time you played the Bengals Dec 14 20o8, you lost 20-13. Got beat by Ryan Fitzpatrick & co. Next time you wanna talk smack about the Who-Dey you remember that Smooty!
