One way or another, Leinart looks to be done in the desert

With each passing moment in this 24-hour, Twitter-fueled news cycle, it’s becoming more and more clear that quarterback Matt Leinart’s career with the Cardinals is ending.

So Leinart, who has been the topic of several posts this morning, provided an obvious topic for this week’s PFTV segments.

And we decided we’d better post it before he gets traded or cut.

    Duh Florio

I know everyone’s bashing Matt, me included, but don’t teams generally not play their first team players in week four preseason?

You still haven’t explained why you hate Leinart so much, Mike. I’m not saying you shouldn’t do and say the things you do, but give your reasoning for your bias.

Maybe because Matt Leinart is the worst draft pick since Ryan Leaf, with which he shares some traits – surliness, self-importance, lack of maturity, lack of command of the offense, and an overweening sense of entitlement.

    I don’t hate Leinart. I just know he’s a stiff.

The Cardinals needs to bring in a QB that can come in a get a handle on the offense in short order.
Troy Smith in Baltimore plays in the same offense with slight terminology variations. According to Anquan Boldin.
He’s a leader has all the tools including the intangibles and remember had it not been for an illness that kept him out several weeks ‘big contract Flacco’ had not out-played him for the starting job.
Several players on the team feel the same and say he is probably the most athletic player on the team.

When you cry to the media like a big baby. Teams generally cut your ass from the rosters.
Jeez, you’d think players would learn that by now. Even Farve got the boot for it, more or less.

Leinart and a third round pick to Philly for Vick (No worse that Feeley to the Fins for a 2)

Matt Leinart is not the worst draft pick since Ryan Leaf (don’t forget JaMarcus Russell).
That having been said, this guy was obviously overdrafted. If he was beaten out by Derek Anderson, he obviously does not have the ability to be a starter. Who is he going to beat out for a starting job?
