The Cowboys have received inquiries about wide receiver Sam Hurd’s availability, according to Todd Archer of the Dallas Morning News.
The Cowboys are surely listening and we can’t imagine it would take much to get Hurd.
Hurd is a fine special teamer, but he’s buried deep on a talented Cowboys wideout depth chart. Archer suggests the Rams and Chiefs as possible teams that could look to Hurd to bolster their receiver depth.
Hurd is due $1.759 million this year, which should soften any trade market for him.

Everyone wants to know “What in the Sam Hurd is going on down there?”.

Id like to see him go to Cleveland
I think he could start there day 1!

I see the Fins swapping one of their excellent rookies (who need time to develop) for a special teamer that could contribute in the passing game immediately …
I hurd it through the grapevine he’s heading to the BuccanEERs.
Austin, Williams and Crayton have the first 3 spots locked up for this year. The 4th and 5th WR spots are going to go to Dez Bryant and either:
1. Kevin Ogletree (struggling thus far)
2. Sam Hurd (dependable but invisible at times)
3. Jesse Holley (uneven, good plays, then mistakes)
4. Manuel Johnson (PS guy, on the bubble)
The only way I see the Cowboys dealing Hurd is if it’s a really good offer and they are satisfied with the development Ogletree and Holley have made.
Ogletree seems to have regressed from last year with some drops and blown routes. So unless the coaches think he can turn it around, or Holley really inspires confidence, I don’t see them letting Hurd go.
RAMS, get this guy!!!

If the Cowboys lose a Hurd, is that rustling?
