Why would they put him in there without the 1st team O - Line?
BECAUSE IT'S CLEVELAND !
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Or maybe it has something to do with it being the last preseason game, when teams don't play their starters.
But then again- you know that and you're just going out of your way to be a troll, right?

Hey Montario hang in there you are worth everthing you get. Over here in New Bern NC we all still follow you and wish all the best. You and your brother will always be Bears of New Bern, and you will make it, Just keep going.
He is a great back, he should have never played last night as all the other starters did not play. He will re bound nice and he will make all of Cleveland proud. And he is a great person, he will not leave you hanging like your favorite son did!!! He comes from a great family and he is a very smart and hard worker. You will see he will be there for you.
As always Montario - Bears for life and now a Browns fan for the NFL.

James Davis is good in space and has quickness, but he seems to have trouble running unless he gets past the front 7. He can't break tackles like a Hardesty or Peyton Hillis. He's a good 3rd down back who guaranteed his roster spot last night.

Precaution my ass he is walking on crutches again. I'm sorry potential or not if he can't be healthy for even one half of football either put him on the I.R. or cut his ass. We can't afford to waste the roster space plus I like Davis more anyway. Everyone is so high on C.J. Spiller but no one had heard of him till last season cause James Davis kept him sitting on the bench for 3 years.

Isn't it amazing that football players back in the 60's and 70's could go the entire season without an injury??? and now they have all these fancy training facilities with equipment that can build your body into a pile of GIANT muscles, and personel trainers, strenghth trainers, etc....but seems that every time we pick up the paper, we read about all these injurys....whats up with that??? and why would anybody in his right mind draft somebody that had injurys in college??? i mean, really, do you actually think he's perfectly healed to take the hits the pros dish out, and not get injured??? and to give up good high draft positions, for a "second-hand car thats been repaired a lot", and take it on a "long drive"?????? how much money do these "smart decision people" make????? tim

Maybe Hardesty will be like Jonathan Stewart. Ever since his rookie year, Stewart seldom practices, misses huge segments of TC and is still a stone cold beast. And he too came to their team as a rookie with an injury issue (though it was to his toe). He's also a VERY tough and physical runner like Hardesty is supposed to be.

Both he (Hardesty) and out other 2nd round pick, T.J. Ward, both have long injury histories. And not broken fingers or sprained ankles. Knees. Both of them (players).
This was my concern as soon as the 2nd round of the draft concluded. I'm sorry, but I'd rather have a B+ talent that could consistently stay on the field, than an A talent that couldn't. Particularly when you're dealing with a roster that is so devoid of talent and depth. Stronger, deeper teams can swing for the fences on draft picks, my Browns cannot, surely not in the 2nd round of the draft. I look at a safety like Bob Sanders, great talent, but geez, what has the guy played? 20? 24 games over the last 3 seasons including playoffs, which the Colts are always in?
No thanks.
