Indianapolis finished the preseason winless, which isn’t out of the norm.
The Colts didn’t start many projected starters against the Bengals.
Colts backup QB Curtis Painter seems to have formed a rapport with rookie WR Blair White.
Colts first-round pick Jerry Hughes twice pressured Bengals backup QB J.T. O’Sullivan in the game.
Bengals RB Cedric Peerman had a 93-yard touchdown run in the third quarter against Indy.
After the game, Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said Peerman has been “an impressive guy for us.”
Bengals K Mike Nugent improved his stock by hitting a 52-yard field goal Thursday.
The Cincinnati Enquirer puts a wrap on the Bengals’ 30-28 victory.
I don’t see anything negative about the Bengals… Are you feeling OK Evan?
It’s safe to say goodbye to Johnny “Toast” Sears.
It’s safe to say goodbye to Otis “the matador” Hudson.
Kyries Hebert beats out Rico Murray for the final Safety position imo.
Say goodbye to Matt “up the nose” Jones.
and finally… at long last… Jerome Simpson looks like an NFL wide receiver. Whodathunkit?

The Ben-Gals suck. How’s that?
Still see the ‘Ben-Gals’ as the wise crack of the decade…. and it still doesn’t make sense.
I’ll be looking for you 9/20, you can try and tell me how much the “Ben-Gals suck” after they continue their dominance of the Ratbirds. Ravens are over rated, good luck with your secondary D line and O line, you’ll need it!
Ridnaway, I actually felt badly for Sears last night, guy had to know his NFL career wass over, three games in a row he’s shot himself int he foot, better start hitting Monster like the rest fo us buddy.
Hudson may be gone, but how about how poorly Andre Smith played last night? Guy looked slow, overmatched and uninterested, somebody needs to keep a cattle prod on the sidelines for him, maddening.
Jerome Simpson better make the team after what I saw last night, FINALLY!!! I hope that quan does as well, he’s of course great on ST, but he’s been great as a WR when he’s been asked to do that so I hope that plays in since Jones and Shipley are obviously both good options as a PR as well..
I REALLY HOPE you’re correct about Hebert, buty what I saw last night was confirmaiton that he’s a liability on D, period, against the pass and the run. He’s ST only, and I think that, plus Marvin White’s performance last night, may be his ticket out of town. Again, hope I’m wrong, hope they keep both Marvin and Hebert.
I also think Nugent sealed the kicker job last night, unless we feel like Kris Brown is a better option. And I swear, if Graham becomes available and we even sniff him, I’m gonna blow a gasket.
GENO GENO GENO GENO GENO
Guy’s gonan make some plays this year if he gets to play. LOVE the D line especially if Pat Sims is the 3rd DT and Atkikns is the 4th? Yikes!!!
“Colts first-round pick Jerry Hughes twice pressured Bengals backup QB J.T. O’Sullivan in the game.”
Hughes aint that good. Smith just sucks that bad. Comment made on Smith from the local paper’s beat writer, “If Smith were an undrafted free agent, he couldn’t make the roster in 2010.”
Remember all the images of the fat, sloppy, out of shape guy in 2009 that couldn’t run at the combine? That’s the same player he is today. 2nd season in the NFL and Smith’s still not taking it serious.
