The only NFL quarterback that was in my friend’s freshman dorm at Tulane was released by the New Orleans Saints on Friday, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
Patrick Ramsey was cut in a somewhat surprising move Friday, although things were building in this direction. Second year undrafted quarterback Chase Daniel made a huge push in camp and the preseason, ultimately making Ramsey’s return to New Orleans unnecessary.
2009 will go down as a good year for undrafted quarterbacks; Brian Hoyer won the Patriots backup job as a rookie.

something tells me these boys watch the skins training camps like its a grocery store
More surprising is that Rosenthal had a friend. How much was his retainer Gregg (with 2 g’s)?
I guess Bree’s job is safe for now.
Ramsey will probably be back with the Saints at some point in the season.
So Chase threw 3 picks in preseason. Wow, I’m impressed. Brees better stay healthy!!!
Goodbye and good riddance to Patrick Ramsey
Mini-brees will slowly take over the reins as time goes by without skipping a beat. If you put brees number on him, you could not tell the difference. All he needs is game time and coaching by the master Brees himself. The kid is gonna be a premier QB in the near future.
Chase Daniel is a very good QB.
Mini-brees is the real deal. Payton made the right choice, Chase Daniel has a bright future. Hopefully Brees will stay healthy, and Chase will learn from the master (and not trial by fire!)

no diary entry stuff, gregg
while 6ft qb does not = drew brees, daniel and brees have came from similar college systems and have similar styles of play; if he can learn the ropes from brees he could be either an heir apparent or, if they choose to trade him, an asset to another team
