The Twitter page of Brad Biggs from the Chicago Tribune is abuzz with Bears roster cuts. There have been no surprises yet, but here are the cut-downs upon which G.M. Jerry Angelo has so far settled:
Defensive tackle Mick Williams
Defensive end Barry Turner
Offensive lineman Levi Horn
Offensive lineman James Marten
More interestingly, Biggs indicates that 2009 third-round pick Jarron Gilbert and his agent, Frank Bauer, are preparing for the pool-jumping defensive lineman to get the boot. Bauer tells Biggs he “would not be surprised” if his client is waived.
We closely observed Gilbert in the preseason, and he did not look good. In the team’s exhibition opener against San Diego, Gilbert was single-handedly taken out of plays by Chargers third-string fullback Billy Latsko.

Another fine choice by Angelo.
Know was a 5th, Forte was a 6th. Just got lucky with them. His top round picks are routinely failures.
Actually Forte was a 2nd round pick, but i hear you. Angelos Top round picks are usually horrible.
Forte was a 2nd rounder buddy. Picked after Chris Williams in the 1st round.
what has Forte done lately?
bum!
I guess that makes it official… Pool Jumping will NOT be a new workout in the Combine…
Juaquin Iglesis is another bust and Wolfe is too but he looks like he made the team. Angelo needs to go so the Bears can actually start the rebuilding process.
