We’ve periodically updated you on the progress of Caleb Campbell, the West Point graduate that was drafted by Matt Millen two years ago before the military changed its policy and required him to put in two years of service before he could play in the NFL.
Campbell finally spent training camp with the Lions this year. And while he didn’t make the team, he will remain with the organization.
Campbell said on Twitter Saturday that he’s made the team’s practice squad. First, he will have to officially clear waivers.
“Put on practice
squad today, not satisfied but its another step to me playing on
sundays. DREAM IS STILL ALIVE!! Can’t stop won’t stop,” Campbell writes.
It’s a remarkable story that will be even cooler if Campbell can reach his dream and make the active roster during the season.
