Chris Simms among cuts as Titans get down to 53

The Tennessee Titans have reached the limit of 53 players on the roster, and Chris Simms is among the players not to make the roster.

Terry McCormick of has the list of today’s cuts, which also includes running back Alvin Pearman and cornerback Tye Hill.

Simms has bounced around the league since 2003 and was in his second stint with the Titans, although he’s thrown only two regular-season passes with Tennessee. He’ll be on the lookout for teams needing a veteran backup.

  1. funny how no mention of puff daddy simms…
wow, talk about a double standard, or is it just whiteout?

  2. As a Texas alumnus, I’ve never forgiven Simms for his horrible collegiate play, [albeit, he was subjected to very high, precedented standards]. His ‘professional’ career hasn’ changed my opinion.
Simms, you blew the 2000 Big 12 championship game, Major Applewhite nearly corrected your screw-up, however, you still derailed our whole season with that bed-excrementing performance.
Good luck in the UFL, douche.
