The Rams traded for linebacker Bobby Carpenter in April, but the move didn’t pay off. The former first-round pick was demoted in favor of Larry Grant at the outset of training camp, and made an appearance on Saturday’s list of final cuts.

The Rams kept rookie defensive linemen Eugene Sims, George Selvie, and Jermelle Cudjo.
Thaddeus Lewis will be the third quarterback until they find an upgrade. Jonathan Crompton, Tom Brandstater, Troy Smith, J.P. Losman, and Levi Brown are available.
In Dallas, Alex Barron did make the roster.

That was a stupid trade from the beginning. Way to give up a serviceable O-linemen for a LB that does nothing.
To think Carpenter lost his job today, then he logs onto PFT to see maybe if someone else is interested only to get an extra kick in the nuts with a giant headline calling him Barbie Carpenter.

Just an FYI, Thad Lewis had a great camp and preseason. 78.6% completion rate and a 113 and change QB rating. And that’s with our crappy receivers too. He’s a little short but he’s a pro ready QB that can scramble too. I don’t think he’s going anywhere.
Keith Null did pretty well too. In fact I’d rather have Null than any of your “replacements.”

Carpenter sucked and couldn’t even hack it on special teams. Part of the knock on him was his lack of physicality.

“Our MAC bust” is out, and Dixon and/or Batch will do just fine and lead us to at least a 2-2 record.
Our MAC 2 time SB winning QB will soon be back and lead us to the playoffs, something Carson Palmer’s done twice (with no victories) in his career. Enjoy the season.

@BonerJames03—I think that along with sucking, Barbie is too stupid to know about PFT and how to log onto a computer. He might have googled “how not to be a bust” or “how to play football” in the past had he know about the computer phenomenon.
